Quinn's pov-
Once I calmed down Devin pulled me away from his chest and said "What happened Quinn." "My dads cancer came back." "I'm so so sorry." He pulled me back into a hug and I said "He said he only got weeks but apparently that was only minutes. He died right on the phone with me." "I'm so sorry Quinn. I will go to the funeral with you." "You really would?"

"Yes I will help you through this." "Thank you Devin." We hugged and he said "Now go upstairs and rest. I'll finish dinner." "Okay." I went upstairs and I laid on our bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell asleep.

I got woken up from someone lightly shaking me. "Go away I just wanna die." "Quinn you need to eat." "No." "Quinn come on." "Just let me die." "Quinn this couldn't be your fault." I got up and saw Devin "He died while I was on the phone with him. I think I killed him." He hugged me and said "Babe you couldn't have stopped it from happening." "I wish I could turn back time and re-do it all."

"C'mon let's get some food in you." He lifted me up and bridle style carried me downstairs. I had my arms wrapped around his neck. He kissed my forehead and he sat me down on the couch. Chance brought me over a bowl of soup and said "We couldn't figure out how to cook steaks." I sightly chuckled and said "Thanks."

I slowly ate the tomato soup. Devin came next to me and wrapped his arm around me and pulled me into his chest. I said "I'm to depressed to eat." "Babe just a few more bites." "No." I set it down and just snuggled up to him more. He started to play with my hair. I started to cry about my dad again.

Devin said "It's okay babe." "No it's not." I must have cried myself to sleep because next thing I knew I was being picked up and being brought back into my room. I started to wake up and Devin said "Just relax its me. Go back to sleep." I closed my eyes again and I slept in his arms as he carried me upstairs.

When I woke up I saw Devin hugging me. He was already awake, he said "Good morning babe." He kissed me and I said "Morning." I got up and he said "Where are you going?" "Work. I need to get my mind off of the thing." He just nodded and said "At least let me drive you." "Okay." He got up now to go get changed. Once I got changed I went downstairs.

Chance was in the kitchen he handed me a bowl of cereal and said "Eat." "Can you die from crying to much?" "Why are you asking me?" "You were an EMT!" He laughed and said "Just eat." Devin came downstairs and wrapped his hands around my waist. He put his chin on top of my head. I looked up to see his hazel eyes.

We kissed and he said "Ready for work?" "Yes babe." We got into the car and he drove time to my job. While we were in the car he was playing my favorite playlist ever. He said "C'mon you have to remember this song." He turned it up and it was 'Upside Down' by Jack Johnson.

Me and Devin were sitting on the couch in his basement. We turned on Curious George and he said "Why do you like this movie again?" "It is a great movie." I started to tear up when he was left alone. Devin said "Are you crying Quinn?" "No I just got something in my eye." "Awe your crying."

He pulled me into his chest and he kissed me. We kissed for the first time and it felt amazing. It felt like fireworks were all around me. Like no matter what the situation he would always be there for me. He would always have his arms around my waist.

He looked at me and saw I was looking outside the window. He put his hand and grabbed my hand. He said "It's okay babe. I'm always here for you no matter the situation or the weather." "I love you Devin." "I love you Quinn."
