Quinn's pov-
Me and Devin flew out to our hometown in Springfield,Illinois. As soon as we got off the plane he said "Feels good to be back." "I guess." He put his arm around me and we got out of the airport. We ordered ourself an Uber to go take us to my family's house. As soon as we got into it, the Uber driver said "Are you guys married yet?"

"No. We actually have been dating for four years." "Young love such young love. What brings you guys to Springfield?" "We are here to see our families we moved to California as a couple." "That's cute." We arrived at my house and we got our bags out of the car, we thanked our driver.

We walked inside to see my whole family inside. My grandmother with my grandfather. My Grammie and her new husband Robert. My mom, and my two older brothers, with there girlfriends. My mom hugged me and said "Quinn." "Hi mom." "Thanks you both for coming." "Hi Mrs.Jensen." They shook hands and she hugged him.

Before I knew it the funeral was today. Devin has been spending time with his parents. Since he hasn't seen them since he has moved to California. I got ready and I went downstairs to see Devin. Devin came up to me and hugged me. He said "Babe you ready for today?" "No." I just snuggled into his chest.

He rubbed my back and said "Black does suit you though." "Thanks." We went into his car which we drove off to the funeral service place.

Once the funeral finished me and Devin had to go on a plane to get back home to California. So I can start teaching and he could go back into the studio to go record. We were at the airport. I had my head on his lap and I was slowly falling asleep. He said "Babe you had a long day just go to sleep." "Okay."

I fell asleep and he woke me up so we could board the plane. Once we boarded I fell back asleep on his lap and soon enough we arrived back in California. We were in Chance's car with Chance and Brooklyn. Chance was driving while Devin was in shotgun.

I was in the back row with Brooklyn. She said "Quinn." "Hi sweetie." Chance said "We all missed Quinn's cooking." I laughed and said "That's one thing I didn't miss." The radio announcer said "Our next song is from the new Boy Band of the summer 'Restless'. They are the winners of Boy Band. Here is there new record hit song."

There song played on the radio and Devin said "No way is this happening." Brooklyn squealed and Chance said "I can't believe it." I said "All bad things that happen there is always a sliver lining."
