The night and road were indistinguishable from each other. The only difference was that the road had newly marked yellow lines along the middle. The radio is on, with the station set to "80's Hits!". The lights are on high beam, and she's going well over the speed limit.

It's Shelby's mother.

The words keep ringing in her head. "Mom please, I don't want to die." After hearing those words, she ran to her car, and raced off to the camp.

She couldn't stand the thought of her daughter being hurt. She was unsure to call the police, so she set out to the camp to see everything for herself. If there even was anything to see.

She drove past a couple sings that said "Welcome to Camp Pamona Lake!" But she was going too fast to notice. She saw the lamp posts in the distance, she knew she was getting close to the camp.

Under the first lamppost she noticed, she saw what she assumed was a parked car. Which was strange, because it was right in the middle of the road.

She drove to it, and stopped a couple of feet away. She got out, and closed the door.

"Hello?" She called out.

There was no response.

She got closer, and as she did, she noticed that the car was all beat up, with blood going down the hood.

She saw Valerie's torn up, dead body inside.

She gasped loudly, and ran back to her car. She jumped in, and pressed a button that locked all the doors. She checked around the inside of the car, just making sure. She then quickly whipped out her phone, and dialed 911.

The three of them sat in the middle of the cabin living room, all huddled in a circle. All of them covered in blood, they thought this was going to be their last day alive.

"...do you think we can make it till morning?" Kenya asked.

"I don't know. I don't even know what time it is. It... it feels like it's been night time for ever." Shelby replied.

"I don't think we're going to make it." Ashley whispered.

The air became cold. The echo of silence can be heard for miles.. Kenya looked at Shelby and Ashley with a face of fear. Everyone kept quiet.

"I... I cheated on my 10th grade math final." Kenya said.

Every stayed silent.

"What?" Shelby asked.

"I cheated on my final."

"Why'd you say that?"

"I don't know.. since we're gonna die I wanted to get that off my chest." She laughed. Ashley and Shelby went along with her and laughed too.

The room went quiet again. The humor cheered them up a little bit, but they still couldn't get the inevitable out of their heads.

"Hey..." Kenya got up. She walked over to a corner of the room, and saw it laying against the wall. "Isn't that the gun that Matthew grabbed?"

"...I think it is!" Ashley added.

Kenya picked it up, and kept it close. For... safe keeping.

"I still can't believe everyone is gone..." Kenya said.

"Me neither." Shelby said.

Suddenly, a loud thump was heard on the door, all the way on the other side of the cabin.
