Everything seems blank. Its all quiet. No sounds of leaves moving in the slightly eerie night, no crickets chirping menacingly. So many things have been after them that night, being completely alone in the middle of nowhere seemed extremely comforting and inviting. For the first time in the entire night, nothing seemed hostile.
"C'mon, you're okay, everything is fine..."
She replied with only a moan of pain.
Kenya stopped to help Ashley catch her breath. She was very wounded, bleeding everywhere from her legs, and her face. It looked like a tornado swallowed her up and dragged her around for miles. Kenya feared that Ashley will be the next one to die tonight.
"We're almost to the exit sign, Ash. We can make it. Come on." Kenya grabbed Ashley's arm, and put it around the back of her neck to try to support her walking.
After taking 2 steps, Ashley collapsed onto the floor, with Kenya following with her. In the sudden shock, Kenya burst out in tears. Barely being able to speak through her tears, she begged her to get back up.
"Ashley, no please! Please don't do this! Not now!" She ran her hands through her hair, trying to make her wake up. She slightly slapped her face, checking for any type of response. "Please don't die on me! Everyone else has died tonight, don't die in front of me like this! Please, Ash!" Her wailing cries can be heard for miles. Her tears slid from her eyes down to her cheeks, and fell onto Ashley's blood stained clothes. Breathing rapidly, she looked around and called for help. But she knew she was miles away from even the nearest gas station. All she was doing was setting herself up for bait. Kenya gathered some of her tears to try and rub some dirt and blood off of Ashley's face. She took off her ripped, bloodstained jacket that she was wearing and tied it around her legs to stop her from bleeding out.
It felt like everything she was trying to do resulted in getting more blood on her hands.
She looked down on Ashley's cold, emotionless face while the abrupt sound of the crickets closed in. In that moment, nothing felt real.
Suddenly, in the corner of her eye, Kenya saw flashing red and blue lights. She quickly looked up, and saw a police car in the distance.
She got up, and bolted towards the police car.
"Help! Help me!" She called out. As she got closer to the police car, she saw another vehicle next to the police car. It was an SUV, and a woman was standing next to it.
Kenya finally caught up to the police officer. She tried to explain everything that has happened to the best of her ability, all while choking on her tears. She quickly told the officer about Ashley, and they swiftly got an ambulance on the scene. The paramedics and the officers were seriously questioning Kenya's story. Monsters, chasing teenagers all over a camp? That sounded pretty absurd to them. Nevertheless, they still tended to Ashley, who was extremely close to death.
"Do you know where my daughter is?" The woman, dressed in silk pajamas asked.
Kenya turned around slowly, hesitating to answer. "Are you Shelby's mother?" She asked.
She quickly nodded. In a feared voice, she said; "yes..."
A lot of people always ask questions, but they are never prepared to hear the answers to them.
"Is she okay?"
"I don't know..."

She was like a snail, leaving a trail behind her. A trail of blood. Her face, all bruised up and cut, her shirt, ripped apart, covered in dirt and blood. She was moving, but barely. Limping out of the woods and onto the main road, she was looking for Ashley and Kenya. To her knowledge, she finally got rid of all of the monstrosities that were torturing her and everyone else that night. But, just to be safe, she kept quiet, so she wouldn't attract any attention. She kept quiet, but the pain that she was experiencing was screaming incredibly loud. She couldn't help but yelp at the pain that shot up her leg as she limped. She looked up at the sky, and she had realized that the night has been replaced by day. The sun casting its beautiful orange glow upon the dawn sky. Shelby noticed how pretty it looked, but soon realized and remembered all of the horrible tragedies that have taken place that night. She kept staring at the sky, and thinking how nothing will ever be the same again.
She collapsed.
The night really took a toll on her. She couldn't keep going anymore. She tried getting back up, but her arms were so fragile at that point that they couldn't handle her weight.
She rolled over on to her backside and started staring at the sky again. With every breath she took, the more and more tired she felt. With every second, she started blinking slower and slower. The sound of the birds chirping joyfully at seeing the sun rise occupied her ears as what she assumed were her last minutes alive. She let out her last breath, and closed her eyes.
The sounds that her ears were picking up were the only things that were comforting her. The birds chirping, the leaves moving in the trees, twigs accidentally hitting on another because of the wind moving them. She hoped that everything would be okay.
All of the comforting sounds that her surroundings were making had stopped. And the last thing she heard that day was...
"Look! Over there! We found her!"
