Lizzie's Journal 1:
I left for college today and, honestly, I am apprehensive about leaving mom and dad on their own. In other news, I just found out that they're going to have another kid! I finally won't be an only child. Unfortunately I am leaving for college, so she or he may as well be.I woke up damp with sweat, breathing hard, dammit that dream again, what does it mean? I thought. I was a light elemental™️ which means that I literally radiated light sometimes, but not tonight. I looked in the mirror at the girl I saw. She had my light blond curly hair and light blue eyes, I am a blonde in looks but not in brains. My only downfall is that I would be what some might call average. Ugh I hate that word average. I looked extraordinary, definitely not average.
I looked out the window at the sun coming up and felt connected. I then stared at the time for a while 5:30 the clock read. It was a Saturday so I figured my parents wouldn't mind if I was out. I got up and got dressed I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked anything but average, I smiled then left. I was outside when I saw it- no, I saw him. He looked like more like a wolf than man... he was... a werewolf! I stared at the werewolf cutout my mom made us for halloween. I blinked a couple of times to make sure it was not moving, I sighed and wished I didn't have such an overactive imagination.
I looked at the wolf again, entranced, until my dad came out and said, "What are you doing outside?! It's freezing!"
His eyes almost as big as his glasses. I blinked twice suddenly realizing I was ankle deep, and bare foot, in the snow, my eyes grew wide as the cold set in.

I sit on the kitchen table staring outside at the crisp snow only damaged by my footsteps noticing that the distance across was much longer than my own and steadily melting but slower at the rate that I was out there for. I glanced down at my hot chocolate and thought about the phone that was conveniently left in my bedroom underneath my cats warm bottom.
"Dad, why do I radiate light sometimes? I have never heard about anything like that happening before." I asked.
"Wait! You knew about that!" he exclaimed. " I thought I was getting dementia, and honestly it concerned me." He chuckled, then put on a straight face, "Yeah, no, I'm not stupid," He took a sip of his coffee, "Though If I were you, I wouldn't say that to the scientists, you know, once I give them to you."
I nearly choked on my hot chocolate, "What?!"
"I'm joking," He practically shouts after I'm done speaking, finishing with a hearty laugh.
"Y-you sure are funny... pa." I manage to get out.
