Notes on set

The day was pretty much over on set, there were a few more scenes for Jennifer to shoot and then she could go home to sleep. She feels like she hasn't slept in years, today has been a long day full of emotional scenes and she wasn't quite ready for how emotional they actually turned out, or how much she actually felt the pain of Emma's fears deep inside her.

"Morrison!" Calls an accented voice that seems to be running to catch up with her.

Jennifer turns around and smiles, "Hey Colin."

"You walk really fast," he chuckles and slows down next to her.

She smiles and shakes her head slightly, "that's what long legs do for ya."

They walk in silence for a minute before Jennifer decides to break the ice, "so what's the news? What's so urgent you had to chase me down?"

He looked confused but then he remembered the reason he wanted to catch up to her. "Oh right! Adam said that there was a note left on your trailer door for you. He didn't touch it in case it was person but he just wants to make sure that you're safe. You know how some fans can get." He scratches behind his ear and looks at the ground as they walk.

"I'm fine, and I can take care of myself." She rolls her eyes at how protective Adam is being.

"We know that Jmo, we just don't want you getting hurt. He's just taking precautions, it's not like you actually have a stalker." He laughs like the thought of having one is insane.

She froze and then put up a wall like her character Emma does, "Yeah. I definitely don't. It's probably just my mom being old fashioned and sending a note." Internally she was a little nervous to find out who the letter was from because in reality she knows it's not from any of her family members.

The get close to Colin's trailer and stop, "I'll see you here tomorrow?" He asked with  friendly smile, "I'll bring the coffee this time."

She smiles back and nods, "sounds like a deal. Bye Colin." She turns and continues towards her trailer by herself. Her mood that was lifted slightly by her set family is slowly disappearing back to her jumpy nerve wrecking feeling.

Then she gets to her door, and there is the note. It's taped there, just waiting for her to read it. She takes a deep breath and walks up to it yanking it off making the tape rip some of the paint with it. She couldn't read it out here, she had to go inside first just in case. Jennifer unlocks her door and walks in going straight for her couch so she can sit and think about what this letter means. If it is from him, then that means he is able to get in and out of set. Also if it is him then he is extremely good at hiding in plain sight. She closes her eyes and breathes in slowly. When she opens it she hooks her thumb into the small opening then pulls her finger across it making the paper rip.

Dear my love,

I know I've been away for a while, you must have missed me. I promise to never leave you alone like that again. How is Lana? Has she been coming to movie nights for a while now? I've missed you Jennifer, you look beautiful today.

Sincerely xoxo

Jennifer took a shaky breath in, her heart was racing as she leans back on the couch. It was hard to hold in the tears, she just felt so incredibly lost and doesn't know what to do. She knows that he was telling her about last night with Lana and that terrifies her, not because he was watching her but because he was watching her. She can't bring her friends into this, he may not be dangerous for her but he might do something to them if he thinks she gets too close. She runs her hand through her hair and stands up, wiping away the tear that escaped her eye. Jennifer won't show that he is affecting her, this note gave her information about her stalker. It told her that he either works somewhere here on set which makes this man so much more dangerous. She grabs her things and storms out of her trailer to head to her car, she didn't see Lana walking towards her until she grabbed her arm.

"Jen?" She asked concerned and pulled the blonde to a halt, "You okay?"

She laughs without humor and looks at Lana, "I'm fine just want to get home. I'm tired."

Lana bites her tongue, she can tell she isn't fine because she saw her storm out of her trailer with a very specific expression. "Okay, well, whenever you're ready to actually talk about what's going on you know my number and my address." She sighs and turns to walk to her car without another word.

She felt a little guilty but this is how it had to be, she couldn't tell and she didn't need to have them worry about her. She could do this on her own and no matter how many times the little voice in her head told her that everyone wouldn't mind helping her or keeping her safe she didn't want to risk them getting hurt.

It was a week later, she had been on set every day with no incidents and she hadn't snapped at anyone. It was almost back to old times except that she knew it couldn't go all the way back. Today was the first day all week that she had to make up some excuse for why she couldn't hang out.

"So you want to have another movie night? We can invite Ginny and Bex have a girls night." Lana smiles at Jen as they walk over to craft service.

She looks down at the options passing over all the sugary treats and sticking to carrots, "Um. I don't know I have a lot to do, you guys can definitely do that if you want though." She doesn't even have to look up to know that Lana scrunched her face a little bit at the vague answer.

"Okay," she says with a sigh. "What do you have planned, must be important?" Lana was trying to be clever and get her to slip up about something.

"It's not too important, but it does need to get done and tonight is my only free night." She looks up and sees a disappointed Lana who kind of looks like she wants to pout. "Just host it at someone else's house and then it'll be fine. You don't need me to have a good movie night."

"It also doesn't mean that we don't want you there." She drops the subject there and grabs some cheese and crackers.
