Alone

We stare at each other for what seems like hours alone in the classroom. The word 'alone' flies back and forth through my head as I hold my breath and eye the young god standing in front of me.

I slowly rise out of his seat cringing at the sound his stuff makes making it obvious I've destroyed some sort of papers. I sigh audibly and open my mouth to apologize but Jeremiah cuts me off. "Your bum made perfect crinkles on my papers," he says knowingly as he smirks at the papers.

I laugh out loud. "What? Who says that?" I say turning to face him completely. "Clearly I do," he says leaning forward. Our faces grow closer together and he leans down. I inhale sharply as he teasingly looks down at my lips. He twist his head to the side and breathes on my neck. He reaches behind me and picks up my book bag off the chair. He turns and heads for the classroom door.

"Don't want to be late for class on the first day now do we??" He says smirking knowing the effect his little display had on me.

I sigh again much louder and follow the tease out of the class.

We start walking and I wonder how he knows where he's going. "Do you know where we're going" he asks me answering the question I had just been thinking about. "Well it depends on what your next class is" I tell him amused.

"Um...Mrs. Smith....math class" he reads off of his schedule. Omg he has the same class as me. "We have the same class we can walk together" I say calmly not wanting to show how excited I actually am.

We continue down the hallway in the direction towards Mrs. Smith's 3rd period math class.

Yes, 3rd period. The schedule at our school is a little weird. We have A days and B days. On A days, you go to classes 1, 3, 5, and 7. On B days you go to classes 2, 4, 6, and 8. Simple, no?

Each class is 90 minutes and that doesn't seem so bad seeing as how I'll be focusing ALL my attention on Jeremiah. Math is not my favorite or best subject.

At least afterwards it'll be lunch time and I'll be able to see my girls. I can't wait to tell them about Jeremiah *fan girl-ing*

I'm so caught up in my thoughts I don't even realize we've made it to the class and I stop Jeremiah. "Here it is" I say, "hope you can handle it" I smirk trying to copy him.

"Ha! I'm the best at math, sweetness. Try and keep up" he challenges back.

I walk in first and go directly to the back of the class. I see Cameron sitting by the window and he glances at me. We have...a history to say the least. Jeremiah sets my stuff down beside the desk I choose to sit at and he takes a seat beside me. I see all the girls in the class turn and ogle him not even trying to hide it. Cameron narrow his eyes at the boy. I roll mine.

I turn to look at Jeremiah and he winks at me. I smirk and mouth 'you're going down'. I know whatever the bet is I'm going to loose because I really suck at all things math.

He mouths back 'only in your dreams, sweetness'

I smile and turn away.

Mrs. Smith enters the class just as the bell rings and addresses us. I feel my eyes getting heavy at the sound of her monotone, Morgan Freeman voice. I glance over at Jeremiah whose on the edge of his seat listening intently. I glance at Cameron before everything goes dark.
