This Summer

Chapter 1- The Planning

•Nikki's point of view•

I was sitting in my 6th period class with my best friends! Waiting for the bell to ring to get out of this hell hole and get into summer! After everyone was done taking their final we all waited and talked about our plans for this summer.

"OMG!! We should all go to Santa Cruz!" Nala exclaimed and we all quickly agreed with her.

"So May how are you and Bo doing?" I asked

"Yeah right nothing's going to happen EVER!" we all simultaneously oooed

Bo and May liked each other but let's say Bo doesn't have any balls to talk to her.

There was only 10 more minutes until we were out and ready for the summer!

"So Nala? You and Joey?" Alana asked her

"HELL NO THAT NIGGA HAS NO DAMN BALLS!!" We were all hecka laughing at what she said. Joey is also like Bo no balls and is scared of girls and guess what their best friends too!!

Then it happened... the bell rang and everybody quickly scurried out of the classroom. Then while I was walking to my locker to finish cleaning it out I realized that I had an amazing junior year and I'm so not ready for my senior year. I just let it go and walked back towards my friends and we all walked out of the building. Ready for the summer that was right before us waiting to be explored! We all walked our separate ways going to our cars. We promised to meet up at the park at 1:00 since we got out at 12:15.

When I was driving home Call Me Maybe came on so I rolled down my windows and blasted it because the song is very catchy and fun! I pulled into the driveway and turned off my truck. I unlocked my front door and walked inside. My mom came rushing from the kitchen and gave me a really right hug and was saying "oh my baby girl you're getting so big now" I responded with "oh my gosh mom I'm just going into my senior year no biggie" she just hugged me tighter. Then we finally broke away I just looked at my mother and smiled. She said "no matter what grade you go into it will always be a biggie to me" Then I walked to my room to get my things together.

"Ok I'm leaving mom!" I shouted. She replied with "okay be safe!". As I'm walking to the park I see my best friends. I ran the rest of the way and jumped on the table and screamed "SUMMER IS FINALLY AMOUNG US!"

Nala said "Nikki get your ass off that table!"

I just laughed and responded with a simple "Yes, mother".

We all talked about things we wanted to do this summer and the main things we chose were: the beach, the fair, and just doing whatever we wanted to. This was going to be the best summer ever I could feel it in my veins.
