C H A P T E R T W O

I got into my brand new red Audi R8 and turned on the radio. I was singing along the whole way to work. Arriving there I parked the car and got out. I was kinda nervous and hope everything will end well. I took a deep breath and make my way to the building.

I arrived at the office and the receptionist welcomed me, she smiled at me and asked me what she could do for me. I'll be really happy if they are all this friendly.

"Good morning, I'm starting today as the new receptionist."I said politely

"Oh, you are replacing Ashley,"she said pointing to the other side of the room.

"come on I'll show you where you can drop your stuff and I'll help you to settle in."she said and I followed her.

"So what you are doing is easy. Just greet every person that enters or leaves the building with a smile. Further you'll get more assignments that you need to finish everyday. It isn't that hard right? And also I know that it's your first day, sorry to inform you that you have to go home a bit late today as there are lots of work to be completed." she said with a smile on her face.

"Thank you so much. It's alright that's my job right I'll finish the task after that I'll go home. What's your name? I asked her.

"Oh stupid me, well I'm Jule and you are Darcy right?

"yeah that's me"

"I have work so I'll leave you. If you need anything just call me"

"Yeah thank you Jule"i said with a smile.

I decided to call Lisa to inform her that I'll be late. Great it's my first day and I have to work late.

After two rings she answered.

"Hey what's up?Everything alright?"she questioned

"Hi yeah everything is alright. I just called to inform you that that I'll be late. There a lots of work to be done."

"Oh okay good luck babe I'll tell Ellie"

"I'll talk to you later bye Liz"

"Bye Darcy"she said

"Let's get back to work"i said to myself.

*6 hours later*

"Okay I'm lost."I whispered to myself.

I was looking for the canteen, but I ended in a fancy part of the building. Great job Darcy, always getting yourself into trouble. Okay just go back from where you came he-

"Hey!watch where you are going" a voice said behind me

"I bumped into someone's chest, making me almost fall. Thank God I didn't.

"I'm sorry I didn't m-" I started but he interrupt me.

"No next time watch where you're going." he said

Okay he is rude

"Some children are politer than you. I said that I'm sorry." I snapped back

He turned around and looked at me from head to toe

"Don't talk to me like this ever again"he said still staring at me

"whatever jerk"i responded and walk away.  

"Hey wait" I heard someone yelling behind me.

I turned around and saw a girl. She was really pretty.

"Don't mind him. He's always rude. Just stay away from him. Btw I'm Uswah."she said with a smile on her face.

"Haha yeah he's really rude. Hi Uswah I'm Darcy." I said pulling her into a hugs

I can say we are going to be great friend.

Five minutes later I managed to find the canteen with the help of Uswah. I'm glad she was not a jerk like that boy earlier. I can admit he was handsome. He has blue eyes and light brown hair. But he was a jerk and that doesn't change anything. I also found out that he is very rich and his name is Shawn. I'm not interested since I break up with Luke. I'm not ready for a relationship and I'm still waiting for the best.

*Four hours later*
Finally I was done. I can go home and relax. I looked at the clock and saw that it's 10.00pm. It's already late. I walked towards my car and make my way home. On my way I noticed that a car was crashed against a tree. I decided to check. Maybe there is someone in the car and they need help. I got out of my Audi and make sure that I locked it then walked towards the car. I was shocked when I saw who was in the car.
