Hi all! How are you? Sorry but this is not an update. Yeah, I can hear your shouts right till here. 😂
I've something to share with you. It consists of four simple words—
I'm not getting married.
Bet you thought I was going to announce that didn't you, you sneaky peeps. I do imagine myself announcing that one day, but that one day is not now so let me enjoy my bachelor life. 😜 So let's start again—
I got a job. 💼
Let me rephrase it- this lazy ass girl finally managed to hitch a job lol. It's not a big shot job so I won't reveal what I'm doing exactly, however the company is good. Wipro, it is. I honestly don't know how long I'll last (too much pressure) or how long I'll work there bcos that's not my destination. I'm just doing it for a few months experience. I'll leave to find a better one afterwards.
Anyways, I'm not here to talk about my life. I've always wondered what would happen to my stories and the updating schedule if I get a job. I don't want to stop writing or leave my stories halfway.
For the past two weeks, I've been trying to write but it's been difficult. And writing late at night is almost impossible when you're so damn sleepy. So here's the thing— I'll continue Serious in Love but it's going to be on hold for let's say, a month. I'm not sure. The thing is I want to post the next four chapters on a continuous interval. There would only be a one week gap between them at max. I have a good reason for that, believe me. Many things will happen in those four chapters and I don't think it would do any good to make you wait in between them. So far, I've written three chapters (without editing) and I need to be a little ahead in my writing which is why I'm taking this break. Most importantly, I need to practice and find time to write. I hate making you guys wait and I hate going slow too when I desperately want to jump to the scenes after those four chapters. You'll love it.
The updates are going to be regular after that. Updates will be one chapter in every 10- 14 days (after those four chapters)
As a parting gift, I'm going to rewind your memories of this story to a happy time. Particularly when Vansh and Ahana were in cloud nine. Let's see how quick you figure out what scene and chapter it is. Make an inline comment as soon as you remember. And no scrolling down, okay?
* * * *
“This is certainly weird,” Vansh spoke, his tone disapproving as he moved with me. His one hand rested above my hip while other clasped to my hand.
(Comment if you remember which scene it is, WITHOUT scrolling down)
I stepped one leg behind me, then the other and motioned him to follow my steps. I glanced at his puzzled state and dropped my hands. “Look at others. They are dancing too. It's not that hard. See,” I gestured towards the other few couples dancing around us. There was a particular place in the fifth arrondissement along the Seine river. Many couples gathered to do a tango dance along the tango- esque music that was played by a old man sitting by the river side while a few others acted as spectators to watch the dance unfold. I wanted to come here ever since I heard about this, but looks like, a certain someone wasn't too enthusiastic about it.
(I guess you are starting to remember. Comment if you realized it now. Ok baba, I'll stop being the third wheel. 😝 Back to the story)
“Yes, I'm seeing them and realizing that we hardly know the dance,” Vansh muttered, a little too annoyingly.
“Fine,” I gave up since he had a point. “We'll observe them for a while.”
We settled down on the steps meant for spectators. I glued my eyes to the couples watching them dance though at the same time, I felt my enthusiasm losing. Vansh was watching too, but I could clearly see it in his eyes that he'd rather spend an hour in the toilet than watch this shit. I sighed heavily.
