The morning fog of a muggy Sunday filled the skies rather than the blue Shawn had always been used to seeing, greeting him through the thin blinds of his window. with the knock of his door his best friend Cameron and Mahogany would stroll in with wide grins

"Morning Shawn." Mahogany would greet, hugging him tightly. with a groggy "hi." shawn would pull his shirt over head and ruffle with his bed head.

"What adventures shall we meet today hm?" Cameron smirked as Shawn laughed, rolling his eyes.

"Besides going to the square, i doubt i'm going to be doing anything but sleep." shawn said, beginning to lay back down, tangling his head against his pillow.

Immediately Mahogany would be pushing against his leg, yelling at him to get up. "I DON'T WANT TO GO!" shawn yelled like a five year old, being pushed into his elementary school building.

Mahogany laughed, tugging at his arms. "oh c'mon shawnie, the world awaits." he groaned.

"five minutes, wait outside." Cameron and Mahogany then began to cheer, leaving the room as he asked.

Shawn had known Mahogany for the longest of time. sometimes its hard for him to remember how they met, or even when they did. Kindergarten, the twenty seventh day of August, shawn had already broken his fifth blue crayon and had officially ran out.

He pranced around the room, in search of the perfect blue to match his unfinished portrait, only to find the girl with the thickest poofiest hair, covering her face would have the color.

she noticed him and smiled, happily offering her crayon, and the empty seat beside her.

Shawn had two choices, take the crayon and go back to his friends, or stay with her. which one do you think he chose?

Shawn met Cameron in seventh grade, gym. as Mahogany would be complaining, longing to be asleep or sitting on the bleachers, Cameron would admire her and laugh, as Shawn did the same.

From then on they have been known as the golden trio.

everyone knows they're the best of friends, and no one would ever be able to come between them.
(or so they thought)

"where will we go now?" Shawn questioned, slipping out of his room. Mahogany shrugged, "not much we haven't seen." shawn nodded.

"Cameron?"

"all out."

"fine the square it is." shawn then threw his arm into the air, sticking out his index finger and rushing down the stairs.

Mahogany and Cameron with a laugh, followed immediately, in the same motions, to the rush of Cameron's Blue B.M.W.

"i think its time we go hit up the diner hm?"

Mahogany said, with the nudge of her elbow against Cameron's rib. "ow." he said, rubbing his skin as Shawn snickered.

"i could eat." Shawn smiled.

With that, and the music of the radio, the drove down the roads, all too familiar and to the Diner.

From when they were kids, their parents always took them to the town diner,

The Charming flavor.

(pure fiction)

It was always Their favorite place, with their favorite meals.

"so my buddy Nate is throwing a party tonight..." Cameron brought up, taking a french fry from mahogany's place. she immediately slapped his hand, making me yelp.

"on a Sunday?" shawn rose a questioning eyebrow as Cameron shrugged.

"he always wants the excuses." Cameron said under his breath to Mahogany.

"mhm." she said, rolling her eyes slightly.

"what do you mean?" shawn said.

"you never want to go to parties." he scoffed.

"i hate em."
"we know." they both said in sync as he sighed.

"On a Sunday?"
"yes shawn, are you in?" shawn sighed, running his fingertips through his hair. "fine fine fine, whatever."

Cameron and Mahogany spent the next  two minutes cheering and dancing. slowly stopping with there was a peering smile on Shawn's face.

Shawn, Mahogany and Cameron roamed the town until the sun slowly began to set, driving back to Shawn's house

The golden trio always ran around town. If it was not for friends, then it was for their own pleasures.

They had seen everything, they had known everyone.

Nothing to them had ever been unfamiliar.

All until they parked the car in Shawn's driveway.

Cameron had just made a sex joke, and Mahogany rolled her eyes, turning her head to the window she noticed something strange.

"Woah, guy's who's that?" she called out, pointing to the girl who stood at the Dawson's front porch. Shawn shrugged, never seen her." Cameron turned around to shawn, "exactly our point."

From the porch light that lit up her face there was something off about her.

maybe it was her hair, short to her shoulders naturally waved with curls.

the ends close to her roots, dyed a light pink. her naturally black hair slightly peered through some strands.

there were bruises on her face,  dark around her cheekbones, and her lips.

her eyes were green, a mysterious color in which swirled or orange from the iris.

she was tall, a bit curvy. to her leg was a suitcase, and over her shoulder was a backpack.

she wore an over sized sweatshirt, black of the color as were her ripped pants, and her worn out converses.

"Damn she's hot." Cameron said with a slight snicker as mahogany smacked his arm.

shawn stared at her with questioning eyes, biting his lip in confusion.

The girl's knuckles swiped against the oak wood of The Dawson's front door, tapping her foot as it slowly opened. Simon Dawson pulled her into a tight hug, saying something to her, yet they wouldn't be able to hear.

her eyebrows furrowed, and her eyes glistened against the porch light, tears.

The thin Simon Dawson kissed her fourhead and pulled her into the house, grabbing her things with the slam of his door.

"who is she?" Shawn questioned.

"guess we're going to have to find out." Mahogany said, pulling off her seat belt.
