Chapter 9

Xander's POV

Waking up with a heavy feeling........ shit, I feel like shit. The only thing I remember from last night event was that I went to Billy's night club to drown myself up of alcohol. To vanished all pain that Laura causes, it's been 3 years.......3 years since she left me and chose her career instead of me but I don't care, I want her back and i'll do everything to find her.

As I got up, I saw a glass of water, aspirin and bowl of soup on my night stand with a letter attached to it 'Drink all these so that your hangover lessen' I smiled reading this letter. Amanda is really attentive so glad she's here to act as my mother. Finishing the soup and drinking the medicine that Amanda gave me I directly took a shower to freshen up. I'm not in mood to attend my work today so i'll absent. Perks of being a boss. As I walked out of my room I bumped into Anna, she look restless the moment she saw me and looking down. "Ann-" I remembered I have something to give her but as soon as I called her name she answered me with 'bye'  and walked away.

What the hell is wrong with this girl? not that I care anyway.

I went to find Amanda to thank her from last night, she's always the one who take good care of me every time I drown myself with alcohol after what Laura did and scold me after. "Amanda" I called her name that make her stop what she's doing and turn to me. "Yes.dear?" I didn't utter any words however I just hugged her tightly and leave her in shock " What is it,son?" she asked. "Nothing, I just want to thank you from taking care of me last night" she looked bewildered and seperated from me. "huh?" 

Amanda looked at me puzzled. Why it seems like she don't know about last night and not scolding me now. "Son, what are you talking about?" "I'm talking about last night, aren't you the one who take good care of me and gave me the medicine for hangover" now I'm the one who is confused if it wasn't Amanda who must it be? My thought was cut when a large hand strike my shoulder....ouch.It was Amanda. "You were drunk AGAIN" she said, emphasizing the word 'again'. She looked at me sharply,."Now I know why Anna wake up early and make a soup" she added. "Anna?" "Yes Anna, thank her not me son. Oh you are lucky to have her"

Is it the reason,why she looked restless this morning?Shit!! did I do something?

I was about to go to my study room to sign all the papers that I haven't sign yet when something caught my attention. It was the vacant land that Anna wished to turn into a garden.It is all clean now I went towards the vacant land only to see a very busy Anna, I guess she's measuring the size of the land and  she looked so professional while doing it. I haven't thank her yet so I went closer to her but as soon as she noticed me she looked restless again and was about to leave me...... again.

What the fuck is wrong with this girl? 

I don't know why the hell she's avoiding me and I won't let her leave again like that.I won't tolerate any one to act that way to me. I quickly grasp her wrist that make her stop. "Don't you even dare leave me again like what you did this morning" "Wh...what are you talking about? and will you please let me go" she tried to pull away from me but it make me tighten my grip more. This girl is really testing my patient. "What do you want from me?" she asked. "I want nothing from you Anna, I just wanted to say thank you" with that I loosen my grasp to her and that's when I realize that I hold her too tight when I saw a red marks on her wrist.Shit. "fo...for what?" she asked stuttering and lower her head. "I know you're the one who took care of me yesterday. I hope I didn't do somethi-" my words were cut when she again butt in "NO!!...you....you didn't do something.Yeah you didn't do something don't worry about it" she said gazing everywhere.

'What the hell is wrong with this girl? 'I keep asking myself.

"Ok that's good cause I don't want to make something stupid that I will regret" she nooded her head and pointed out of the door while stepping backward from me. "yeah...yeah you don't have something to regret, I will leave now bye" her behaviour is really unusual and is she trying to avoid me?
