Anna's POV

After running away from him I directly go to my room to prepare myself cause I'm going out to buy some stuff for the garden plus I will be meeting my best friend.His words keeps swirling in my mind.

'I don't want to make something stupid that I will regret'

*knock* *knock*

A knock on my door brings me to my senses "Come in" I shouted and the door revealed Amanda so I smiled heartedly. "Hi dear, Xander wanted to give this to you" she extended her hand and give the ATM card to me. "oh" the only word I can utter. "He wants you to use this for your needs" " Oh....ok thank you Amanda" after I thank her she was about to leave, when I remember something to ask.

"Umm... Amanda?" she stop on track and turn her head to me "Yes dear?" she asked. "Umm...do you know any girl named Laura?" her eyes widened as if she was shocked of my question. "Yes dear, I know her very well. How did you know about her?" she asked again with curiosity. "Umm...cause while I was helping Xander yesterday he mentioned her name while he was sleeping. I know, I'm sorry I shouldn't ask this question but I'm just curios"

"Well dear, get use to it specially when he's drunk. As I told you before, Xander was a really sweet guy and he never did what he's doing right now. Laura was his girlfriend for 3 years and he was so deeply in love with her but then Laura leave him and chose her career over Xander and that makes him what he is right now. Now, I don't know but I think he's trying to find her and even hire a private investigator"

'So Laura was his girlfriend. Such a lucky girl the guy even hired a private investigator just to find her' I said to myself.

" OMG!!!! Anna!! I miss you much!" yep, that's Elaine after I bought the things I needed for the garden I directly go to the restaurant to meet up Elaine. I can finally see my bestfriend again "Gosh, Elaine I can't breath" she hug me so tight like there's no tomorrow. "I miss you too woman" I said after she seperates from me. We talked for how many hours to catch up to each other. I tell her everything between me and Xander and I can see that she's annoyed on how Xander treated me. She also informed me that she's already in a relationship with an italian businessman here in Italy and that is one of the reason why she came here.

It's already pass 6pm when we bid our goodbyes. As much as I wanted to stay with her, I can't cause I know she also have a plan with her so called italian boyfriend and I don't want to ruin it. I went home around 7pm and I'm beyond tired. Then, I saw something unusual Xander's car is in parking area which means he has arrived.

'He's early' I murmur to myself.

As I enter the mansion, as usual everyone is busy with their individual works so I headed to kitchen to check if Amanda is there. And yes, she is. She's cooking Xander's favorite food I can tell by the delectable smell of it. I have learn lots of things about Xander because of Amanda and I must say he is a well grown man and very independent except to the fact that he is a womanizer and a coldhearted jerk. "oh Anna dear you have arrived" Amanda said once she notice me. "So how was the meet up with your friend?" she asked as she stir. "It was great I miss talking to her in person" I replied "that's good to hear..oh by the way your husband wants your coffee" she added I know she's busy so as I finished making his coffee I delivered it myself. Reluctantly, I knocked on his door then I heard his masculine voice "come in" Once I came in he started to talk "good you're the who sent it. I need to talk to you"

'Need to talk to me?about what?' I asked myself.

"hmm?" the only word I utter. "I'm going to Paris for 2weeks and if our parents will ask about me just tell them I went to Venice for a business matter and don't ever...EVER tell them where I am, understand?" he said and more likely a command. "O...ok?" I answered him anf it sounds like a question.

but why is he going to Paris? and I'm sure it's not because of business matter. But why would he go there?
