23. Sensitivity.

Selena's POV:

"Stace and I were playing tic tac toe when he appeared. He asked for a moment alone and knelt down to me. He gave me a rose and asked if I'd wish to be his date!-
"She was too shocked that she fainted grinning."
"Let me finish my sentence, Stace!"

Stacey was grinning while Alex was being cocky.

"I said yes before I fainted. When I woke up, I saw a bouquet of flowers. A note was attached to it, saying, 'Everything's for you, my love.' I recognized that writing and it was from him! GOD! GOD! GOD!"
"CALM DOWN, WOULD YA?!"

We all yelled in unison. Alex was pissed, uh, she was on the verge of crying, to be honest.

"Alex!"

She ran away, weeping. Stacey ran after her.

"We made things worse, didn't we?"
"We did, Lilac."
"It's not my fault if she's that annoying."
"NATHAN!"

We yelled at him.

"What? It's annoying if you ask me. She squeals all the time, more like squeaks. Why does she fangirl all the time? Doesn't it bothers you?!" 
"No, it doesn't. Besides, she's young, and a girl. It's their habit to squeal if they wish for their OTP's to come true."
"Works for other girls, Nate."
"See, JB understands."
"I'm not him, okay?"
"Would you guys stop bickering?"

It was time for me to step in, or they'd be arguing like an old married couple. Like they always do. Exclude Jacob out, please. I don't really know him. 

"Seems like we have to deal with her, Sells."
"It's up to- WHEN DID YOU START CALLING ME THAT?!"
"I'm sorry. They call you 'Sells' all the time, so I thought it was your nickname."
"Please don't call me that. Now, come on."

Lilac and I went to find her. I limped and walked while she supported me. We saw her under the tree, crying with Roger. Roger? What's he doing here?

"Alex."
"Go away, Tylers. I don't wanna talk to you."
"Then you can talk to me."
"Not with you either, Selena."
"Please? Pretty please?"

Lilac was trying her best to make her converse to us.

"Can't you see? She doesn't wanna talk to you 'wanna be's'."
"Step out of it, Banks."
"No way."
"Incorrect answer."

I kneed him in his shin. Even though my leg hurts, I still kicked him with my bandaged leg. It will hurt more. Evil me.

"Big mistake, Roger. Never to mess with Lockhart."

Lilac giggled after commenting. I grinned.

"Okay, I'll talk to you, Selena. Just don't do anything to him. Please."
"That's my girl."

I sat with her.

"Look, we love you. We never meant to yell at you, really, but sometimes you freak out a lot and don't calm down. It irritates others, not me. I'm not lying. They were trying to settle you down, with you squealing and all. We apologize for our actions, deeply."
"I understand."

She sobbed and smiled.

"So are we friends now?"

She nodded and we shook hands.
