Y/N's POV:
Sometimes I think about the many ways that people lose themselves. Some lose themselves inside their own souls, locked in their own world. Others go after their dreams and get lost in the process of pursuing them. Some of us get so lost in others. Lauren Jauregui is losing herself in others, in her dreams and in drugs. I lose myself in my own world and in whiskey.
I thought about that as I am breakfast alone. Loneliness is always something refreshing for me since I live with my girlfriend and I have to deal with my other bandmates' company every day. Not that I don't like it, but I need some time by myself.
I took a sip of my orange juice- if I could, I would be drinking whiskey but, unfortunately, they don't serve it on breakfast- and bit my tuna sandwich. "Y/N!" I was surprised by Ally's yell and almost chocked on my sandwich. I looked up to see her worried eyes. "Do you know where Lauren is? She went out yesterday and didn't come back!"
"She's in my room. I picked her up at a club yesterday. She was drunk and high." I stated and Ally sighed in relief. But then, she frowned.
"Again?"
"What do you mean by 'again'?"
"She does this a lot since she and Ty became a thing. No matter if we're on tour or not, she receives a message from an unknown number and it has something related to him..."
"She showed me the text." I said and then hesitantly kept going. "He was, uh... In a club, making out with a stripper."
"He was what?!" Ally angrily shouted. I looked down. "As if getting caught going to those places and oggling those women wasn't enough! He had to be seen making out with one of them too!"
"Ally, calm down. People are staring." I said and Ally huffed, but for calmer. "Why does she still put up with him though?"
"I don't know. Nobody knows. She just... does." The older woman looked down sadly. "We talked to her about it, but she's just too blind."
"I see..." I looked at my breakfast. Suddenly, it didn't look as tasty as before.
"You are being good to Lauren, though..."
"How come?"
"Ever since August, when we invited you to this tour, she's been controlling herself in parties and has been drinking less. The only occasions in which she drank more were when she got those texts." Ally smiled. "I asked her about it and she told me she wondered what you would think."
"Lauren shouldn't stop doing what is bad for her because of what others will think. She should stop because she knows it's bad for her." I mumbled.
"It's already something, though." I nodded.
"Yeah."
"And Lauren knows it's bad for her. She just keeps being stubborn and making reckless decisions. She needs someone to put her on line again, Y/N."
"Ally, I know where this is going. And I tried to help, Clara asked me to try and I did. But she didn't listen and we had an arguement in which I said she would be a disappointment and she told me to fuck off." I took a sip of my juice. "I am not the one."
"Did you try hard enough, Y/N?"
"Huh?"
"Did you insist on her? Did you call or messaged her after the fight?" I shook my head. "Did you let her know that you two were good and that she could trust you?" I shook my head again. "Then how can you know that you ain't the one?"
"I just..." I sighed in defeat.
"It's a slow process and you have to understand that fact. But please, don't give up on Laur. She needs you more than you know and I can see it by the way she acts around you. She's brighter when she's with you, Y/N. I never saw her like that, not even when... You know. Camila was around."
