Lauren's POV:
After Y/N left to London, I thought that I would never see her again. But when she called me this January, I couldn't prevent myself from keeping my hopes up. Only for them to be taken down when I told her to fuck off. And then, in the end of August, we met once again and invited her and her band to a tour. Once again, my hopes on getting her friendship back were lifted up.
I couldn't stop myself from thinking of how much she changed either. Her voice was now mature, she didn't wear glasses anymore and her brown eyes were brighter and more visible. Her once long brown hair was now short and less wild. She grew up in height as well and was now a bit taller than me. I could tell that she still disliked dresses, because she wore high heeled boots, tight dark blue jeans and a black T-shirt to the event. And don't get me started at the British accent that she pulled some times
I closed the book I was reading and sighed, looking out of the plane's window. I couldn't take my mind off of Y/N. Nothing could distract me from her. Not even weed. Not even books. Not even my performances. Not even my fucking boyfriend.
Talking about him, he told me today that he wouldn't be able to make it to the first performance of the tour, that will be held tomorrow night in London. 'Won't be able to make it' my ass, he is probably going to a strip club with his friends before hes not free to do it without me anymore. Asshole. I huffed and kept looking out of the window.
After one hour, the pilot announced that we were about to land. I looked away from the window. Looking at it while the plane was in the air was one thing, but while it landed...? Nope. Not gonna happen.
I woke Dinah, who was fast asleep beside me, up. "Hmmm, Lauren, what the hell?" The youngest of the band complained.
"The plane is about to land, DJ."
"Wake me up when it lands, Lauser." She replied and I rolled my eyes. Seriously?
"Nope. You'll stay up with me. You know how much I hate this." I said and she turned to the other side. I turned her around so she was facing me again. "Pwease, Dinaaah...?" I pouted, making sad puppy eyes.
"Ugh, 'kay, dawg. But don't ya complain if I don't shut it about not having enough sleep."
"Okay!" I said excitedly. We chatted through the whole landing. When it was finally over, I thanked all the gods that exist for letting it come to an end.
We got out of the plane and went to the get our baggage. After we got through all the bureaucracy and got our stuff, we went to the place where Y/N would be waiting to take us to our hotel. I was the first to see her. She was wearing combat boots, black jeans, a black shirt that had "Wild Angel" written in white, a red leather jacket and black sunglasses. When she saw us, she smiled and waved and we waved back.
Y/N walked to us and greeted us with a handshake and a hug. "I am surprised that you weren't attacked by fans yet." She said, making us laugh.
"Seeing your popularity around here, we are the ones surprised to not see you with fans all around you." Normani replied. Y/N laughed and shrugged.
"Guess it's just my lucky day then."
The brown haired woman helped us with our bags, taking them to her car. It was a black Hyundai Azera. "Nice car." I said and she looked at me with a smiled as she put the last bag inside.
"Thanks. It's not an Audi R8 like I always wished nor a Lamborghini as most I the people around the world always wished, but it's pretty nice." She closed the car trunk. I giggled and we walked back to the girls.
"I'll take the passenger seat!" Normani shouted at Dinah.
"No way, dawg! You were the one who took it the last time!" Dinah shouted back. I just sighed and opened the door, taking the seat they were fighting over. "Look! Lauren took it!"
