The taunts don't bother her
Anymore then the questions do
"Why don't you just straighten it"
"Why can't I touch it"
"Why don't you ever do your hair?"
"You don't wash your hair everyday"
In response if I say anything other then SURE you can touch it or begin to explain myself or my hair I'm considered rude
But the phrase nappy headed it makes me cringe I receive more insults about my hair from African Americans more then anything ..
"You need to do something with this "
"You look ugly with your hair this way"
So my hair isn't beautiful unless I alter it's natural state?
