Meeting Embry

Alex woke up with a Bella telling him to get ready.

After he was ready, they piled into the truck and were on their way back to La Push. The first time was a bust.

They pulled up to the familiar red house and got out.

Bella knocked on the door and Billy opened it.

"Bella," he acknowledged.

"I'm sorry, I need to see him," Bella pushed past him and went inside, leaving Alex like a gaping fish.

Bella rushed back outside, pulling Alex with her. They came up a group of men, they were all shirtless and looked similar. Bella shoved the leader, Sam Uley.

"What did you do? What did you do to him," Bella yelled.

"What did we do? What did he do? What'd he tell you," the hotheaded Paul Lahote yelled back.

"Nothing! He tells me nothing because he's scared of you," Bella said.

They started laughing and Bella slapped Paul, making him to start to shake. Alex pushed his sister behind him as Sam yelled at them to get back. Paul exploded into a wolf and scratched a bit of Alex's arm as he tried to protect Bella and himself. Alex rushed his sister back to the truck as Jake came out and exploded into a wolf and started fighting Paul.

"Take Bella and Alex back to Emily's, she can stitch that up," Sam said to his other pack members, Embry Call and Jared Cameron.

Embry walked over to Alex to help stop the bleeding as a kind gesture. As Alex looked up, he locked eyes with Embry.

"I'm Alex," Alex tried to introduce himself to the attractive man beside him but he was staring at Alex.

"Sorry, I, uh, I'm Embry," Embry stuttered out. He was captivated by his dark deep brown eyes.

"Embry, come on, Emily needs to stitch him up," Jared shouted from the truck with a knowing smirk.

Embry looked at Alex's arm, momentarily forgetting that his imprint was hurt. A small growl came from his throat as he and Alex walked to the truck. Jared was in the back with Embry driving and Alex in the middle, trying to stop the bleeding.

As they pulled up, Alex had finally stopped the bleeding but there was a gash in his arm. Alex got out after Embry seeing as Bella wasn't moving.

"Come on in Bella, we won't bite," Embry said, trying to soothe his imprints sister out of the truck.

"Speak for yourself," Jared said, walking ahead of them.

"About Emily, Sams fiancée, don't stare, it bugs Sam," Embry said and led Alex inside.

Emily had her back turned from the and once she turned, the siblings could see what Embry was talking about but quickly adverted their eyes to somewhere else.

"Who's this," she asked.

"Bella and Alex Swan, who else," Jared said.

"So you're the vampire girl," she said and a shiver ran down Alex's spine, making Embry look at him with concern look.

"You're the wolf girl," Bella said.

Emily chuckled and said,"I guess so, well I'm engaged to one." "I knew it'd be Jake to be the one to break Sams gag order," she said.

"He didn't say anything to us," Bella defended him.

"Alphas orders get obeyed whether we want them to or not, and check it out, we can hear each other's thoughts," Embry said.

"Will you shut up? Those are trade secrets, this chick run with vampires," Jared said.

"You can't really run with vampires, cause you know, they're really fast," Bella said awkwardly.

"Well we're faster, freaked out yet," Jared asked.

"You're not the first monsters I've met," she said as Sam came in.

He went over to Emily and kissed all over her face, making her giggle. "Did you stitch up Alex?"

Emily looked at the pale boy with concern and automatically got out the first aid.

"What happened," she asked her fiancé.

"Paul phased and Alex tried to protect Bella," Embry growled out, making Alex jump.

Emily sighed and got to work.

When she was done, she went over to Sam and whispered something in his ear, making him nod and her look crazy excited. Jake and Paul came in, shoving each other playfully. Paul sat across from Alex.

"Sorry," Paul held back a laugh as he apologized to Bella.

Embry growled at Paul and nudged his head towards Alex who was pulling his ripped sleeve down. Paul's eyes widened in shock and understanding. Shock that he actually hurt someone and understood that Alex was Embrys imprint.

"I'm so sorry Alex," Paul said as Bella and Jake left the house.

"It's cool, I've had worse," Alex shrugged and grabbed another muffin.

"When did you move here," Sam asked.

"Four days ago, mom kicked me out and my dad was the only place I had left," Alex explained as he nibbled on the huge muffin.

"That's too bad you seem like a catch," Emily said in a motherly sense.

"We just didn't agree on something and here I am," Alex shrugged.

"Did you know the Cullen's were vampires," Paul asked.

"Not until I moved. Bella let it slip when we were catching up," Alex said. "I have a question."

"Go ahead," Sam nodded.

"Are you gonna kill me now that I know what yall are," Alex asked and Embry could feel the fear coming off his imprint.

"No we aren't going to kill you," Emily chuckled.

"Okay good," Alex smiled and Embry fell in love with the sight.

"If you don't mind us asking, what did you and your mom disagree on," Jared asked, making Embry hit him.

"I'm gay," Alex said simply and looked down, he wasn't ashamed but he wanted friends.

"That's okay, it's her loss," Emily smiled at him, making him snap his head up.

He smiled a shy smile and for once was happy his mom was bothered by his sexuality.

The pack and the Swan kept talking about anything and everything until he noticed it was time to go home.

"I'll walk you, Bella already left with the truck," Embry jumped at the chance to be with his imprint alone.
