August sighed, reading the board placed on the wall. It held most of her personal information.
Why do they need it? She queried. She shrugs and sits back into the bed, closing her eyes, letting out a sigh.
She was one of the first patients up in the hospital. She never really liked waiting and she was hungry.
August rolled her eyes, scoffing at the doctor who walked passed and smiled at her through the long glass window.
God sake, I'm really hungry... August scoffed, her stomach rumbling. She was waiting for her food for about an hour, doing thing. When you're in a hospital, you're very limited as to what you could do.
Everything felt so real. Not some stupid dream. So none of the boys went to jail, she never lived with a girl named Ella, She never had to experience her graduation. She never was 23. She was just asleep, ageing in real life, dreaming everything she thought was real. Her eyes well up with tears.
"Morning, August!" Her head snaps to the door, and smiles slightly with Marli who was standing there with a tray of her breakfast.
"Full English breakfast, just as you asked." She smiled, walking over to Augusts' bed preparing the tray table.
"Thanks...." August replied.
"So," Marli smiled after placing the tray on the little table, which rested above the young girls' lap. "How are you?"
"Shit. I want to be out of here" August grumbled, starting to dig in.
"Every patient feels like that. Trust me. It's upsetting I know, but it's just how life works" Marli have her an apologetic look.
"Oh okay, that's fine, not that you would help me get out of her that's for sure" August snapped, a scowl very prominent on her features. Marli frowned.
"I would help it's just-"
"No. I get it. Get out. Plus, I can't remember anything anyway so how does it matter at this point" August glared at the nurse. Marli took a deep breath knowing that she was bipolar.
"Okay, call me if you need anything" Marli smiled softly before walking out.
"As if you wouldn't come help anyway" August rolled her eyes. Marli ignored her snarky comment and shut the door.
