(Crona's POV)

Maybe I never really did learn how to interact with others. After all this time at the DWMA I am still not able to keep a relationship with anyone on my own. I just need to get (Y/N) alone with me. I can't let that kiss be the last thing that happens between us.

She looks so beautiful. She's only taking notes and listening to Professor Stein, yet she does it with such a way about her.

(Y/N)... I will make it up to you, I promise.

"Well with that, class is dismissed for today."

With that simple phrase all of the others began to file out of Class Crescent Moon. I was fumbling with my notes before I realized (Y/N) had stayed behind as well. She was down talking to the Professor. Before heading out the class my ears had allowed me to listen in on the conversation.

"I've been so frightened, I don't know what I'm to do." (Y/N) must be nervous about the exam that is coming up. Maybe now's my time to speak with her.

The door to the classroom shut behind me. I sunk down the wall and ended up hugging my knees to my chest. The confidence I had has faltered within seconds. But I cannot sit around and wait for (Y/N) anymore.

As I waited for her I let images run in my mind of the dates I might take her on. How I'd hug her tightly when she was nervous. The memory of us kissing flew into my mind. I buried my face into my knees to hide my embarrassment.

That's when the door finally opened. When I looked up at (Y/N) she was staring right back at me. She seemed surprised to have seen me sitting there.

"D-did you w-want to speak with the professor?" Her voice faltered as she asked me.

I stood up quickly and began to rub the back of my head. "N-No, I was actually hoping the I may be able to speak to you."

"I'm not so sure that's a good idea." She looked away and squeezed her arm.

"Look, I know it's been awhile. But, that doesn't change the fact that I do still think about you each and everyday."

Her head sank, and a tear soon fell to the ground. "I t-think about you too. But that's not the problem anymore."

How could I make her cry? Am I that much of an asshole? What did I do?

I gently grabbed her hand. She looked up at me and the expression of her face told me something was terribly awful. "W-what happened? Can I help?"

The poor girl was shaking and I had no clue what to say.

Maybe she didn't know how to deal with this, and neither did I.

I did what my heart told me to. What I truly wanted to do. I pulled her in closely and held her as tightly as I could. My shoulder was quite damp before I was allowed to look into her eyes again.

"I'm so sorry." She finally spoke.

"Please don't apologize. Just tell me what's wrong." I flashed a gentle smile to let her know it was okay to trust me.

"It's M-m-m.."

"Maka? You shouldn't let her make you cry. Sure she's the top of the class but that's no reason for a pretty girl like you to cry." It only caused her to cry more. "It's the truth, you know?"

"No Crona, it's M-Medusa."

I stepped back. "What? What about her?"

"She's been watching me. And I-I don't know what to do."

I held her again. "Don't worry about it anymore. I-I'll fix this."

"D-do you mean it?"

"I'll try." I smiled at her. "But, I have to go now. I'll see you later?"

"I hope." The fear was still in her eyes, but her cheeks turned a soft pink.

Now I really have to save her. It's not only her life that's at risk now, but also the bonding of two hearts. I will protect her. This time I will guard the little one, not hurt it. Not like before.
