POV- Cora
I eagerly wait for his response. I can't believe I'm actually talking to someone other than my friends, and that it happens to be Parker. "Yeah. That is a good point," he said, acting as if he was thinking about it, "I guess if you want to you can call me that," he said trailing on. I was smiling to myself when he continued, " If I can call you.. something else too. I just don't have a nickname yet for you, but I will." I smiled at that, wondering what he'll come up with.
After that little conversation, I went on with my learning, eagerly waiting for the bell to ring. When it did, I got up a little too fast and ran right into Parker, for the second time today. But instead of just bumping into him like last time, this time I was completely on top of him, and he was laying on the floor. I quickly got up, my face probably red with embarrassment. "Parker, I am so sorry.. again."
"Cora, its fine really," He said quickly. Then he said something under his breath, probably thinking I wouldn't hear it. "You can bump into me any time." (A/N that isnt meant to sound wrong, but it kinda does) I smile at that.
"Okay. Well, I'll see you later," I say, but not before finishing with," Parker Peter." He blushes at that, and then I leave.
I head to my next class quickly because I know that Ariel is in it and I really want to tell her now what has been going on today. I practically run into her because of how excited I was. "Guess freaking what?" I ask, but I don't give her time to guess. "Parker freaking Ray talked to me. He likes the same movie as me and he smiled at me an-" I got cut off at that because of how fast I was talking.
"Woah there. Slow down. Parker talked to you? That's great!" Ariel replied saying.
POV-Parker
I was just about to walk into my next class when I heard girl's voice say, "Woah there. Slow down. Parker talked to you? That's great!" I've only talked to one person today, so that's when I came to the realization that the girl was talking to Cora. She's talking about me, I think to myself. I know it's crazy, but maybe she likes me too? I know it's wrong to eaves drop, but I can't help it.
"I know! I mean we've talked before, but never like this. Do you think he likes me too?" She said. Wait, did she say too as in also? So she does like me. This is the greatest day of my life. I have to go tell Jake. He's never going to believe this.
I look around for Jake for about a minute before I spot him. I grab him by the shoulder and pull him away from everyone. "Jake, you are never going to believe this, but Cora Pierce likes me too!"
"Dude, come on. Does she even know who you are?" He asks. I'm a little hurt by what he just said, but I forget it.
"Yes, yeah she knows who I am. I talked to her last year, remember?" I ask defensively.
"Oh yeah because saying 'Yeah' when she asked you for a pencil definitely counts as talking to her," he mocks. He's right though, we really haven't ever talked, but still, I know what I heard.
"Fine, whatever. Don't believe me." And then I walk away.
