Beep boop,

I scroll through facebook
Going from post to post
Timeline to timeline
And I see these headlines like
'What men really think!'
Or
'Racist police strike again!'
And I think
'What has our world come to when
We can define millions upon billions
By a few lines and
share it to millions upon billions
And simply pass it off as justice?'

We live in a world where we're more connected than ever
By media or by population
Our forms of speech are constantly developing
So why is it that these bigoted remarks form?
Where women hate men for a single person's fault?
Or where men make remarks that are clearly sexist
But pass it off as satire, a humorous
vex?

Even now while I speak
I form an us and they,
It seems so easy!
Every side is at fault,
Every side isn't just a side,
It's a sphere where we're all alligned.
And I think you would soon find
A single person does not represent

Their
ethnicity or
Sex or
Occupation.

There are people who live identifying as
Something they weren't born with physically
But were instead born with 'physically'
Where the psyche and body do not align
And these people have to suffer
Because we use these stereotypes that
Contain
Rather than
Expand.

People don't control things like
 race or sex,
They don't get the option to just pick a side.
The world would be so much more easier then,
No.
Instead we force these barbaric ideas of division which therefore results in collision.

The colour of my skin should not be what you see,
And what's in my underwear shouldn't really matter,
My career choice shouldn't be blighted,
And my age shouldn't define my mental efficency,
It's my persona you should judge,
And never my ------- gender.

My first ever poem? A year ago as well.
