Tatum Marshall
The crisp night air hit my face. I absolutely hate the cold. I grew up in California, so the weather in Boston is quite the change.
"Are those the boots from Steve Madden? They make your legs look so long. Lucky, I'm lacking in that department." My roommate Cassie joked. I shot her a 'you know you're gorgeous' look and rolled my eyes.
I glanced down at the grey knee high boots that slid over my bare legs and fiddled with my over sized sweatshirt that hid my curves as we got into Cassie's cute little bmw her dad had bought for her when we first moved in.
Cassie sped out of our complex, heading towards frat row.
"You're gonna love him. He's so sweet to me, Tate." She gushed with a big smile on her face.
Cassie was taking me to have dinner with her and her new boy toy, Cameron. Apparently he was quite the sweetheart considering he's a hockey playing frat boy.
"I'm excited." I replied. No I wasn't.
We pulled up in front of a huge mansion. The lawn was well trimmed with a huge porch poking out from the house. She clicked the engine button off and squealed.
"Let's go!" She exclaimed as she jumped out, fixing the black body suit that showed how tiny her waist was. She yanked up her skinny jeans and fixed her hair in the side mirror. I laughed at how nervously excited she was.
I tapped my foot on the side walk until she finally decided she was presentable before she yanked me up the porch stairs to the front door.
Cassie rang the door bell and waited."Be nice" She hissed at me to which I laughed.
"I'm always nice!" I countered and she shrugged.
"That's true, but just in case." She replied as the big door swung open.
A tall, muscular guy wearing a black t-shirt with the words, "Boston College Men's Hockey" looked down at us.
His brown hair was tossed messily, but still he looked surprisingly like a male model. His deep brown eyes were locked on Cassie and his smile was bright.
"Hi babe" Cassie giggled and I smiled.
So this is Cameron.
"Hi" He replied, wrapping her in a hug, whispering something inaudible.I felt like I was interrupting a moment or something.
"So this is my best friend and roommate, Tatum Marshall." Cassie told him motioning towards me.
His eyes stayed on my face as he held his hand out,
"Cameron Palmer. Pleasure to meet ya." He chirped in a deep voice. I shook his hand and smiled."And yourself. You can call me Tate by the way." I smiled and he nodded.
He held Cassie's hand and led her inside while I followed behind. They looked so cute together my heart hurt.
Throughout the night he would make her a plate of food that he made, kiss her on the forehead, or when she was telling a story, he would eyes just admire her as he listened intently.
The lovebirds got a little touchy, but I wasn't going to invade so I quickly thought of something.
"Um, where's the bathroom?" I asked politely as I stood from the table.
He nodded towards a flight of two stairs.
"Second door on the left." He replied as he went back to whispering with Cass.
I nodded and practically sprinted out of there. I walked up the long flight of polished marble stairs, almost eating it in these boots. I counted the doors as I reached the long corridor.
