Eventful Day

Baekhyun's POV

I sat on my bed, scrolling through Netflix to see which movie I wanted to watch. Suddenly my phone dinged and I made my way over to my nightstand and grabbed it. I looked at the screen to see who sent me the text and a smile went to my face when I read the person's name who was responsible for sending the text.

'Lay'

I remembered I gave him my phone number when I got to know him after we met in the bathroom today. He was an extremely cool guy if I do say so myself.

I looked to see what the text was and burrowed my eyebrows when I didn't understand what he was trying to say.

Lay: Dude, help me.

Baek: Dude? Really?

Almost instantly he replied and it sent me aback because I usually am used to people waiting a couple minutes before texting me. I look at the screen and see what the text says.

Lay: Yeah.

I smiled and started texting him back.

Baek: Are you high?

Lay: No. Why?

Baek: No reason, just asking.

Lay: Okay that's what I thought then.

I laughed about loud due to his sassy remark.

Baek: So what do you need help with, Dude?

Lay: Well, Dude, Ms. Ohm gave out this assignment like a week ago, and it's due in two days. So, I was wondering if you could help me on it tomorrow at lunch or on our free period. Please?

I stopped to think about if I had anything to do or any assignments  to complete and realized I had finished all of mine for the week.

I could notify the gang that I would miss out one day of our lunch meetings since I wanted to go to the library on my free period to pick out some more books, and decided that they wouldn't mind.

Baek: Yeah, sure.

Lay: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Baek: Lol, no problem.

Lay: Well, that's all, goodnight Baek.

Baek: Night, Lay.

I turned my phone off, yawning and looked at the time. It was 11:29 pm, not that late in my eyes but some might think so.

I decided to call it a night and made my way to the bathroom for a shower. I took my clothes off and hopped in, allowing the slightly hot water ease me more into sleep. I got out of the shower and brushed my teeth, then headed into my room to put on some comfortable night clothes which consisted of a white t-shirt and my boxers.

I slipped into bed and let the extremely comfortable quilts engulf me into a fluffy paradise. I laid my head on the soft pillow as I let my worries whoosh away and sleep take me into my happy dream land.

I woke up to hell as I heard the loud buzzing of the alarm jam into my ears and nearly deafening them. I groaned and sat upright to tap it harshly, shutting off the noise as I threw the all too comfortable quilts off me and made my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

After brushing my teeth I made my way to my room and looked in my closet for something to wear. I felt lazy today and just wanted to be comfortable so I settled for black stretchy skinny jeans with a fitted but thick gray turtleneck sweater. I moved to a chair I had near my nightstand and grabbed my black leather jacket that clung to my body and grabbed that as well.

I headed downstairs to the smell of heaven. I looked around the kitchen to find no one there, but a plate full of food on the table and a note on the fridge.

I walked to the fridge and read what was said on the note.

'Baek,

I won't be home until tomorrow night, sorry for not telling  you earlier, it came up in my schedule unexpectedly that I had to accompany my boss to a meeting in Gwangju, so I couldn't tell you that.

I made some breakfast and there's some money for pizza in the microwave if you're too lazy to make dinner yourself.

I love you with all of my heart.

-Dad'

I smiled at the note, turning back at the plate and sat down to devour its contents.

You would think that a mom wrote this at first when you read the note, but sadly my mom died when I was just 6 years old due to breast cancer.

I don't remember much before I was 6, though, so I only had some faint memories of her. Her face wasn't clear in my head, though, only her voice and touch.

As I finish my food, I heard a beep coming from outside. I got  up and made my way to the window only to see Suho's car parked outside with Chen and Kyungsoo arguing in the back.

I smiled as I grabbed my backpack from near the door and put  my jacket and black timberlands along with fuzzy socks on and headed put of the door.

The cold Autumn air nipped at my skin as I locked the door behind me and strutted my way to the front seat of the car.

"Hey." I said simply.

"Hey." Suho said annoyed.

I turned my gaze to the two in the back and listened in on their argument.

"Bitch don't fight me on this! The best Lady Gaga song is definitely Bad Romance!" Chen said savings hands everywhere.

"Bitch! I will seriously fight you right now! The best Lady Gaga song is fucking Telephone!" Kyungsoo said angrily.

I looked to Suho with a questioning face. He looked back, knowing what I was going to say.

"They've been like this since they got in the car. Non-stop, Baekhyun, non-stop."

I laughed as we made our way to the school with a good start of the day, or, at least two of us.

Short, yes I know but I'll be posting the second part very soon.

I had to babysit my little brother for the whole day, OMG, it was exhausting.

Hurricane Katrina, more like hurricane tortilla.

Peace.
