Baekhyun's POV
We arrived at the entrance of our school. Teenagers and middle aged teachers were heading to the building, ready to start their day. There were a couple of kids who actually looked excited about starting the day, but the majority looked like they wanted to hang themselves right then and there.
All four of us walked into the building as well, shoulder to shoulder, as we stood tall to show we did not fear any student nor teacher that came our way.
Kyungsoo and Chen were still arguing about which Lady Gaga song is the best while Suho and I were merely talking about our English assessment we had next week.
As we all continued to go down the hall, we all went our separate ways to go to our lockers. Actually, if you would call it that.
My locker was located next to Suho's on the left, while Kyungsoo and Chen's locker were located across from our own. So, there wasn't a big difference on separating and moving about 5 feet from each other.
I grabbed my calculus note book and textbook, while Suho grabbed his history notes and textbook from his similar organized locker from my own.
Class started in about 7 minutes so Chen and Kyungsoo left first since their Science classrooms were farther down the building than ours.
Suho and I stayed to chat since the time it took for us to reach the classrooms of our own was a little under a minute. As we were talking about how Chen and Kyungsoo's argument started I felt a hand on my shoulder which startled me and caused me to jump.
I turned around and face the man I was texting last night and I felt a wide grin on my face.
"Lay, hey." I said with the grin still stuck there.
"Hey, Baek." He said with a warm and welcoming smile on his face as well.
His eyes shift from mine to Suho, and suddenly get wide while looking up and down.
Taking this as an opportunity to introduce the two, I spoke up.
"Ah, yes," I said, "Lay, this is Suho, one of my four ultimate best friends."
"Suho," I started, "this is Yixing, but you can call him Lay. I met him yesterday in the bathroom and he's quite cool."
Neither of them spoke at first just, eyeing each other for a while, until Suho finally coughed and Lay took that as a signal to make an introduction.
"H-Hello." He stuttered. I raised a brow at him for doing so but he didn't acknowledge it as his eyesight was already preoccupied with Suho's visuals.
Lay stuck his hand out and Suho looked at it for quite some time before widening his eyes realising what to do and immediately took it in his.
"H-Hi. Nice to meet you." Suho said with a shy smile and looked to the floor.
They both didn't move their hands at all but instead looked into each other's eyes for what seemed like years.
It was only when I cleared my throat seeking attention that they removed their hands from each other's slowly, fingers brushing up against one another's fingers affectionately.
I stared at them with a mix of awe and confusion, looking back to where they first looked at each other to see if I had miss some where an alien captured both of them and took over both of their bodies.
I set this thought aside and looked at the clock to see I had only 30 seconds left before I could get to class on time. I immediately widened my eyes and took at deep breath for what I was about to say.
"Fuck, Suho, I only have 30 seconds before I can get to class, I gotta go!" I screamed before I ran down the hall to my next class.
