I've been staring at the same math question for ten minutes. I should've done this work earlier and not have waited until two days before school starts back up.
The sound of the doorbell ringing distracts me, thank goodness. I get off the couch and walk over to the door.
"Joel hi!" I say excitedly. "Hey pretty girl" he smiles. He looks really nice, "where are you going?" I ask.
"On a date.. with you" he says. "What?" I laugh. He moves the hand from behind his hand and hands me a bouquet of roses.
"Oh my gosh" I whisper. I take the roses from his hand, "that's so sweet of you." He smiles, "I know I didn't tell you beforehand or anything, but I can wait for you to get ready."
I look over at the math books sprawled across the living room floor... "sure I'll get ready now."
I let him in and run upstairs to my room. I throw on a pair of black skinny jeans with a white lace tank-top and a pair of gold sandals. My makeup takes only a few minutes to do because.. well because I'm lazy.
"Okay ready to go" I cheer when I reach the last step. "You look beautiful as always" Joel says. "Gracias" I smile.
I take out my phone and text my mom that I'm going out since she's still at work. Joel follows me out the door, "one sec I'm going to check the mail" I say.
College brochures, more brochures, credit card bills, and... "oh hell no" I say through gritted teeth.
"What's up?" Joel asks. I hold up the invitation. His eyes scan the card and his jaw drops.
"The nerve this man has" I say, trying my best not to crumble it. My dad sent us a wedding invitation.
"A-are you going to go?" Joel asks. "I don't want to, but knowing my mom she'll want me to go" I sigh.
"I can go with you if you want" he says. "Really?" I ask excitedly. "Yeah I should be on break by that time so I don't see why not" he replies.
I squeal and hug him, "that would be awesome. Speaking of breaks have you gotten any updates on your schedule?"
His face drops, "uh y-yeah, but let's go I'll tell you about it later."
We walk over to a car and Joel opens the door for me. When I get him I spot Christopher in the driver's seat. "Hola I'm going to be your driver for tonight" he says with his famous smile. He has a chauffeur hat on and everything.
I giggle, "what did he have to do for you to agree to this?" I ask. "Don't ask" Joel says, sliding in next to me.
We drive for a while until we arrive at a huge field. I notice a blanket, candles, and a picnic basket through the window. I gasp, "no way!"
Joel laughs and grabs my hand, "yes way." I make sure to thank Chris as we exit the car.
"Take a seat" Joel says when we get to the blanket. He starts walking away, "hey where are you going?" I ask.
He doesn't answer he just keeps walking until he disappears behind a tree. My mind runs rampant as I think of all the terrible things that could happen.
I'm brought back to reality by the sound of a guitar. I follow the sound and see my favorite boys: Joel, Chris, Zabdiel, Richard and Erick.
They begin singing a song I've never heard before.
"Yo quiero que tus ojos me miren
Y que tus labios me besen
Para que nunca me olvides
Dime qué te pareceSerá tan fácil, para mí
