Miles POV

I grabbed a cup from the refreshments table then looked over at Margaret who was still holding my other hand, enabling me from getting some punch. After staring at her for a minute she realized what she was doing and released "Oh, sorry" she apologized while pushing her glasses up on her face.

I shook my head then filled my cup up halfway. I took a sip then turned to walk back into the party but was brutally stopped in my tracks when I bumped into Symere. Punch splashed back out of my cup and onto my shirt. Good thing it was black.

"Aye watch where you're going fagget!" Symere yells.

"You were in my way bitch!" I bark back with no fear.

His 5'4 body steps up to me and sizes me up "What did you just call me?"

"Miles wait for me honeybunch!" Margaret says, clinging back to my side.

"Wait wait wait, this is your date?" Symere questions.

Margaret wraps her arms around me and smiles like we're a couple.

Symere bursts out laughing "Ahhh! You really got the hottest girl in the building huh? Wait til I tell the boys!"

I smack my forehead with my hand in embarrassment.

"I would publicly embarrass you myself, but you're date seems to have taken care of the job for me!" Symere says through hysterical laughter.

I bump past him and storm back into the crowd with Margaret still stuck on my back like glue. I turn to her "Hey Margaret, I'm going to go use the bathroom real quick, alright?"

"Ok!" she responds with a smile.

I️ walk in the direction of the bathroom until the close is clear then make a run for it and end up on the other side of the building. The party was getting packed and getting hot so I️ decided to go out on the balcony and get some fresh air. That's when I️ saw Aaliyah all hugged up with some boy I've never seen before. They were laughing & holding hands. She never told me she was talking to somebody. I️ thought I️ was her best friend. My eyes widened and my air supply was cut short like I️ had been thrown in space or something. My heart began beating fast. I️ quickly ran out of the balcony, to the front door and out of the house & made my way back home. I️t felt like a piece of my heart broke. That party was bullshit.
