Back at the Grill, Damon Salvatore gathered his things, payed his bill, and left. He got into his light blue '69 Chevy Camaro Convertible and drove to the Salvatore Boarding House. He parked his car in the cut out and briskly walked into the house.

"Stefan! Get your ass down here, little brother!" Damon yelled. A young man, younger than Damon, came down the stairs. He had light brown hair that went up into a quiff in the front. He was wearing a dark gray tee shirt, dark jeans, and black combat boots.

"What do you want, Damon?" He said.

"Is there anything you'd like to tell me? Any old habit that may or may not have started up again?" Damon said waiting to hear what his brother had to say.

"I haven't gone ripper Stefan, if thats what you're asking." He said a little annoyed at his brother's question.

"Oh really," Damon said. "Then why have they found five dead bodies with bites in their necks, scattered out meticulously in the woods?"

"Damon, if I had become a ripper again, they wouldn't have necks anymore."

"Well, if it wasn't you, then who killed them? I didn't do it." Damon said. "I only just found out about it because there are freaking hunters in town looking for a vampire who did this. Oh, and get this, they say that they know Elena."

"We should ask her if she knows them or if they're just full of it." Stefan said, getting his phone out. He dialed her number and put the phone to his ear, listening to the ringing noise. Elena picked up.

"Hello?" Elena said. "Stefan what's up?"

"Damon saw these guys at the Grill today and they said they knew you and—" Damon grabbed the phone from Stefan's hand.

"They said they were friends of your dad's and that they knew both you and Little Gilbert from when you were young. Do the names Sam and Dean mean anything to you?" Damon said.

"Actually, yes, they are old friends of my dad, well at least their father is." Elena said. "They came to our house when Jer and I were in Elementary School with their dad and they helped him with something but I don't remember what. They were both teenagers at the time. They must be like twenty something now. Dean is like three or four years older than Sam. What was their last name again?" She asked.

"They didn't say. They only introduced themselves with their first names." Damon said in response.

"It's something with a 'W'" She said. "It doesn't matter. Did they say what they were here for?"

"Not directly, but I overheard them talking about how there's some Vampire in town and that they were going to kill it. Elena, they're hunters." Damon said, still freaking out that they were in town and knew about the vampires of Mystic Falls.

"Well, it wasn't you guys, right?" She said in an accusatory way.

"Of course not—" Damon said as if he had not just asked his brother if he had done it. Stefan rolled his eyes.

"Then you have nothing to worry about. Just lay low until they leave town and don't steal any blood from the blood bank." She said.

"Elena, we're almost out of blood. What do you expect us to do, go on Stefan's bunny diet again?" Damon whined.

"He lived on that diet for years, Damon. You can do it for a few days, okay?" Damon groaned.

"Fine." He said. "I guess that also rules out especially delicious looking cheerleaders too, huh?" He joked.

"Damon," Elena said in a reprimanding tone.

"Okay, okay, I'll behave." He said. "We're going to come over. They said that they might drop by. I gave them your address."

"Why, in hell, would you do that?" Stefan asked. "You could have just put her and Jeremy in danger."

"They're hunters, Stefan, and last time I checked, Elena and Big Jer are not any type of supernatural creatures that they might hunt." Damon said, moving the mouth piece of the phone away from his mouth and then back again. "Anyway, we'll see you soon." He said. He hung up the phone and tossed it to Stefan over the couch. Stefan caught it, put it in his pocket, and headed for the door.
