Boruto woke up with a headache. Pain pulsed through his head, blurring his vision for a few minutes. Once his vision returned to normal he noticed he was on a soft bed. He sat up slowly and looked around.

The room was dark, but he could tell the walls were a deep red color. The room was dimly lit by a lamp that was sitting on the floor near the bed. To his left there was a door and on his right shelves filled with books.

In front of him was another door, but it had locks and chains keeping it closed. Fear ebbed it's way into Boruto's body. Then curiosity. What happened? Where was he? How did this happen? Why is he here? Questions attacked Boruto's mind.

The pain in his head increased causing the blue-eyed boy to get frustrated. He cautiously got off the bed and walked over to the bookshelf. Half of the books were scripts of ancient writing. The other half were books about the history of the world and theories about mythical creatures.

Losing interest he made his way to the seemingly open door. He reached out and turned the nob, then pushed. It opened a bit. Boruto hesitated before opening the door completely and walking through and paused after a few steps.

It was another room. This one had grey walls and only two chairs facing each other in the middle of the room. Creepy much? Boruto thought to himself. Then it hit him. Faint memories returned to him causing panic.

All he could remember was the urge to kill and then being carried by someone very familiar. The scent he remembered was from Mitsuki. But what happened? Fear raced through his body. No....no....did......I.......kill......my family!!!????

"NOOO!" he screamed out collapsing to his knees. Tears started to fall down his face. His body started to shake. The pain was too much to handle for his small body and he lost his strength. Before he could scream anymore he heard footsteps.

His fear returned even stronger this time. He got up slowly, but didn't turn around, nor did he move. He didn't have the strength to move. The footsteps from the other room got a little louder and Boruto realized they were heading towards him.

Whoever was there was right behind him. He could feel a presence. Suddenly arms wrapped around his body gently. He struggled and tried to scream but only sobs came out. Then a scent hit his nose. Mitsuki.

"Shhhh. It's ok. Your family is fine. It's ok now," gentle words soothed Boruto's mind. He unconsciously leaned into the embrace feeling tired from all the stress. "Where am I?" Boruto asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Somewhere safe. You'll have to stay here until further notice. For now you have to be contained" Mitsuki explained. There was a hint of sadness in his voice which surprised Boruto. It even surprised the snakeboy himself.

Mitsuki hadn't meant to let emotion show in his voice. He sighed and picked up his friend. "You shouldn't be walking around so much. Your body needs rest since it was strained to it's limits, caused from the enormous amount of power that flooded into your body".

Power? What did Mitsuki mean? Boruto searched his mind for any clues, but nothing could answer the questions he had. "What happened?" he asked as he was set onto the bed. "I'm sorry but I can't give any answers right now. Though I can say you have become too dangerous to keep out in public," Mitsuki stated.

"Oh.." Boruto responded quietly. He felt exhaustion flood his body and sadness. He missed Sarada, Metal, Denki, and all the others. He wanted to see them happy and smiling together but, they were gone.

Before Boruto knew it tears flowed down his face. Feeling his bed sink a little he looked over to see mitsuki sitting on the edge of the bed. He was looking at Boruto with a blank expression. "What's wrong Boruto?" he asked curious.

"I miss my friends, Th-they made me happy everyday, but now they're g-gone" He choked out letting out some sobs. Mitsuki continued to stare until Boruto met his eyes. Something flashed in his eyes. Guilt?

No it couldn't be, he had nothing to be guilty about as far as he knew. Mitsuki looked away after a few seconds. "I'm sorry for your loss my friend. I know it was quite tragic for you" Mitsuki apologized quietly.

Boruto let out some more sobs then it hit him. How did I survive. How did he survive? Boruto looked at mitsuki who had his head down towards the ground. "How did we survive that?" he asked.

Mistuki lifted his head up but didn't look towards the blond-haired boy, instead looked at the blank red walls. "I saw it coming a second before it happened. So I quickly grabbed you and broke the window and jumped out" he answered.

What? That doesn't make sense though. How could he of escaped so quickly when it happened so fast? It left Boruto stumped. But before he could ask anymore questions Mitsuki got up quickly and walked towards the locked door.

"Well I got to go for now. Rest up now" he stated quickly and in a blink of an eye he was gone. How did he just....? But Boruto quickly shook his head and focused on falling asleep feeling really tired.

Mitsuki walked down the hallways towards his room. He know what was going to happen the whole time. He didn't care about what happened, he never had before, so why did he feel really guilty now? Hearing his little ninja's heartbreaking sobs went straight to his heart.

Once he reached his room he entered and lied down on his bed. Worry gnawed at him for Boruto. Ever since he spotted the boy he couldn't keep his eyes off of him. Mitsuki knew he had feelings for his ninja.

Maybe it was because it was him that hurt Boruto? That made him frown. He didn't want to hurt his precious boy. He never had. But he had no choice. Besides seeing him with others made him jealous so he was glad they were dead.

Boruto is mine. That would never change either. He was going to make the boy his no matter what. Keeping him here is the best thing to do. He had forgotten about the threat of the creature until it implanted a controlling liquid into Boruto's body.

Now it that thing will pay dearly. All he had to do is track down the creature and capture it. It wasn't just gonna die too. He was gonna torture it until the thing begged to die. For now though, he had to sleep.

Mitsuki closed his eyes and slowly let the darkness takeover.

"MY SON IS MISSING?!" Naruto yelled. "Y-yes sir, so-someone with blue hair and yellow eyes took him and d-disappeared" the reporter stuttered. Naruto was furious. He knew exactly who took his son. Mitsuki.

He knew the boy was a danger the moment he seen him in the hospital. "Dammit!" He cursed and walked out of his office. "Get the dogs and send a search party out" Naruto growled and made his way outside.

He was going to find Mitsuki and make him pay no matter the cost.

"I'm coming to get you" he hissed under his breath walking out towards his car.

"I Will get you".
