Chapter 1: The Angel and the Hound

Sofia Elizabeth shook the dirt off her dress and said "Hello, how did you get here? Do you have an owner?". The pup just sat there with a curious look on his adorable face. Sofia sat down in her grass stained petticoat, picked up the pup, and patted his little tummy. She thought to herself, What should I call you? You need a special name. How about Barney Beagle? "Perfect," she said out loud, "Barney Beagle it is" The maids were cleaning the porch at the time. One of the maids left the door open. The pup wanted to see what was inside the house. He jumped out of Sofia's hands to ran toward the porch. Sofia sprang up to chase him, but he was so quick she hasn't felt him slip through her fingers. The little pup bolted inside the house. Mr. Bailey was walking through the halls with a stack of books in his arms. Luckily, the little hound found a vase full of lovely flowers to slow him down. The little beagle was able to leap inside the large water vase. The water was up to the dog's neck. Then Mr. Bailey was walking through the hall, the puppy almost drowned but before anything could happen the pup howled. Mr.Bailey almost had a heart attack he was so shocked he dropped all of his books on his right foot and fell back on the wall. The wet pup jumped out of the vase and leaped on Mr.Bailey's chest. Mr.Bailey called out "NATALIE COME HERE PLEASE!". Mrs. Bailey found her husband on the floor with the wet dog on his chest. Under Mr. Bailey was a broken painting plus books all over the floor. "Oh my goodness what happened?" said Mrs.Bailey in a gentle manner while picking up the dirty hound off her husband. Mr. Bailey bellowed "this pup sneaked inside the house and some how got into the water vase!"Tomas Bailey was not badly injured.

Sofia runs through the mansion trying to sneak up stairs with no punishment, she runs up stairs super quietly, and she opens her door. Sofia spots a baby on her bed without hesitation. The baby was looking out the open window. Sofia calls "Mother! am I seeing things? Mother!" she shut her door and rubbed her eyes. Sofia runs down the steps but she stops and runs back up stairs. Sofia Opens her door again and sees flowers on her bed, she runs to her window and looks out. Sofia started talking to herself "there is no trace of the baby? where did she go? she is definitely not my sister! maybe an angel?" Sofia was stunned. Then her step Father called "Sofia where did this dog come from! Sofia? are you okay?" Mr. Bailey bellowed. "I am fine, I will be right down!" she stopped and ran toward her bedroom door, then down the stairs, and through the halls. "Yes, I do Step Father and the pup is my friend we shared the sunshine together!" Sofia still wondered who the baby was in her bedroom and why they left flowers with no trace.
