Once I turned my phone back on, I had 50 missed calls from Harry, 4 from Niall, 12 from Perrie, and 139 texts from Harry, mostly spam.
I ignored them all but I called Perrie and explained to her what happened. She told me to ask Harry about my friends, well ex-friends.
Then I called Harry.
"Blaze!" He answers.
"Hi. Harry, I'm sorry for being a bitch. I just needed time to think."
"It's okay, I understand. But why haven't you been answering?"
"I turned my phone off."
"Okay, well do you want to meet him at the park?" He asks.
"Sure, which one?"
"The one buy my house."
"Okay, see you in 20."
I hang up and get ready. I just threw on some jeans and a t-shirt and put on little makeup. Finally, I put on my combat boots and I was out the door.
I started up the car and drove to the park. I decided to drive because Harry's house was a little ways away.
I got out of the car and saw Harry already swinging on the swing.
I walked over to him, sitting on the swing next to him.
"Hey," I say, softly.
"I was starting to think you weren't coming." He says, making no eye contact with me.
"Did I really take that long?" I ask.
"Yeah, it seemed like 7 years." He laughs.
"Whatever." I laugh with him.
Silence fell as we swung. It was peaceful though, so I didn't mind.
"So, Alice," He started.
"Harry!" I scream, hitting him playfully in the arm.
"What?" He chuckles.
"You know what." I say.
"Why can't I call you that? Blaze sounds like some car."
I glare at him. "I don't like the name Alice."
"I like it. So I'm going to call you that." He says.
"Not in public." I tell him.
"Whatever." He shakes his head.
Nobody calls me Alice and I mean nobody. Not even Bradley or Whitney. They don't even know.
"Harry," I start.
"Yeah?"
"You know my friends Brad and Whitney?"
"The ones that aren't your friends anymore?"
"Yeah, them."
"Assholes." He mumbles as I laugh.
"They were upset with me because I've been eating lunch with you guys and always hanging out with you." I tell him.
"Have some time for them, then."
I sigh and continue swinging.
"Harry," I say softly.
"Hm?" He asks, looking at me.
"How come all of a sudden, you begin talking to me?" I ask curiously.
He shrugs.
"You don't know?" I ask.
"Well, I don't really know. I mean, I don't know." He says, completely lost for words.
I nod.
He's complicated.
Harry's POV
As I start making my way towards the school building, Niall comes running up to me.
"How's it going?" He asks as I shrug.
"Do you think she's in love with you?" He asks, waking by my side.
I shake my head. "I don't think so."
"Oh c'mon." He says.
"I don't think she's that kind of girl, to fall in love right away. But she better hurry." I tell him.
"Do you like her?"
"As a friend. She's cool and funny. She makes me smile a lot."
"Someone in love?" He asks in a lovey dovey tone.
"I don't fall in love." I say, gritting my teeth.
"Right." He nods. "Well, keep trying."
He walks away leaving me alone. Finally.
Blaze is complicated to figure out. But I know for a fact, she's not in love with me. Who would be? I'm an asshole who's a smart ass all the time.
I walk through the halls, looking down. Which was a very stupid idea. Because the next thing I know, I run into someone, making them drop their books everywhere.
"I'm so sorry." I hear a familiar voice say softly.
I look up to see Blaze. Which made me smile.
"It was my fault." I chuckle, helping her pick up her books.
She laughs and picks up her books. I finish before her so I stand up and stick my hand out as she takes it, getting up.
"Thanks." She says, smiling.
"No problem." I say, smiling back.
She looks behind me. "Well, I better get to class."
I nod and watch her walk away. She looked behind me to see Brad, I think that's what his name was.
I roll my eyes and walk to class.
