The Love Bet || Harry Styles

"Blaze, will you go to the prom with me?" He asks hesitantly.

I don't respond for a couple minutes. All of what he could get out of me was breaths. I was shocked. Harry Styles wants to go to the prom with me? This is a surprise.

"It'd be cool if you could give me an answer." He says with a smirk.

Do I say yes or no?

I mean, it Harry Styles.

"Yes." I breathe out.

Harry's POV

Yes! She's going to the prom with me. That means I'm winning the bet. So I don't have to do something stupid in front of the whole school. It would really ruin my reputation.

I waited outside the school for Niall after school.

"Hey!" Niall shouts, walking over to me.

"Hey! She's going to prom with me." I say to him, proudly.

He sticks his hand out for me to give him a high five. I slap my hand on his with a smile.

"I can't believe you did it. I'm proud." Niall says with a smile.

"I know right. But I'm not in love with her or anything, it's just for the bet but she seems pretty in love with me."

Blaze's POV

I was hidden behind the tree a couple feet away from the school. I saw Niall walk over to Harry. So I just decided to stay there and hear what they're saying.

"I can't believe you did it. I'm proud." I heard Niall say.

"I know right. But I'm not in love with her or anything, it's just for the bet but she seems pretty in love with me." Harry says.

Oh my god.

Did he just say what I think he said? This is all a bet?

I let out a small, soft laugh. He thinks I'm in love with him. Nope.

But I'm completely devastated. I thought he actually liked me. I knew I shouldn't have talked to him in the first place, this whole thing was a joke to him. I'm just happy I didn't fall in love with him, cause I'd be destroyed if I did.

I started to walk back home with my head down. I'm so disappointed in myself, I let myself play his little game.

I didn't know if I should tell him I heard or just play along.
