A/N: Look at it. Finally, a glimpse of Isaac's mind for you. Aren't you happy?
~~~~~~~~
(Isaac's POV)
Bright colours. Everything is nicer in bright colours.
My mom was the one who showed me how nice everything gets in brighter colours. Or, sometimes, if you'd get closer to a bush which has flowers in it, you'll find out that they whisper to you. Strange things. Unlike my mom, I could never understand what the flowers said. But she did. She told me she did.
I wasn't always able to hear the flowers' whisper. My mom did. So, she helped me hear it too. She helped me see that everything and anything has its own story to tell. She showed me how blind I was when I was a child.
A pill.
She would give me a pink pill and suddenly, everything changed. Everything around me became brighter. I would see things that captivated me every time, but now I don't remember what I saw exactly. I felt better too, relaxed. And when my mom would take me to the nearest bush and told me to listen to their whisper, I was happy I could finally hear it.
As time passed, I felt proud of myself because I could hear the flowers' whisper without the pill. Not all the time but, still. It didn't matter because my mom would still give me that pill. I was looking forward to it every time.
I miss that pill mom. I really do.
Don't worry Isaac, baby. I will give it to you again. I'm coming back for you. Wait for me. Just a little longer.
I let out a sigh as I was sitting on the couch, flipping another page of the book I've found in Michael's living room.
I miss you mom. I want to be with you.
But mom didn't answer. I waited for a few seconds but eventually, panic rose inside of me. I grabbed my head between my hands as I tried to steady my breath..
''Mommy?'' I whispered. My voice trembled. ''A-Are you.. mad at me?'' No reply.
This time, I knew I was close to hyperventilate. My mom always replied when I talked to her. Always. When she didn't reply, she was upset.
Why don't you go and wake that Michael up. He'll reply to you.
I bit the inside of my cheek. I didn't know why but mom was upset of me living with Michael from the start. Whenever I thought about Michael, she'll get upset. I had to seal these thoughts from her but.. I didn't succeed every time. She was with me every day, every hour, every moment. I didn't even want to start thinking about what I would've done if she wasn't with me.
But.. that wasn't my mommy. That wasn't the mommy I loved. That wasn't the mommy that would cradle me, kiss me, whisper loving things to me.. Now, she'll say mean things to me. Or wouldn't say anything at all. The later made me panic every time.
Isaac? Her bitter tone made me shiver. Why aren't you saying anything?
I want to hear your voice.. not Michael's. Please, mom.. I held my breath.
It didn't look like that when you let him hold you! Mom screamed at me, making me flinch. It looked nothing like it when you told HIM, a stranger, things about me! Haven't I told you to trust no one besides me?! And now you are considering believing him over me!
B-But he.. he proved what he said was true. Yesterday, with that man who wanted to punch me, he..
Are you going to believe HIM over ME?! I whimpered. What about the fact that you wanted to kiss him again, after you did the first time. What about that?
