Y/n wakes up in complete silence. She breaths out as she sits up and tries to make as minimal noise as possible. Taken by the lack of yelling she's guessing her dad isn't home yet. Him and her mom are always fighting. With him coming home at three am drunk and high, really puts a damper on the relationship. Her mom is moving out soon with her younger sister Naomi. Since she's older she has to stay since she'll be graduating this year. It's horrible but it's whatever. Y/n quietly tip toes to her door and looks down the halls. She sees Naomi sleeping peacefully in her room across from y/n's. She peers down the hall but sees nothing. She walks to her closet and picks some clothes. Skinny jeans and a black shirt that says 'sorry not sorry'. She slips some socks on then walks into the bathroom. She brushes her hair and puts little makeup on. Foundation, mascara and highlighter.
Shes walks to the kitchen to grab her bag and leave for school, no time to eat. She slips on vans. A small hand grabs hers. She quickly turns around. It was Naomi, thank goodness."What's wrong?" Y/n asks her bending down to her height.
"I don't want you to leave. I'll be alone when daddy's home." Naomi pouts.
"Mom's here, isn't she?" Y/n asks softly.
"But she'll be fighting him." Naomi says sadly.
"Do you want me to take you to grandma Lena?" Y/n asks her. Naomi nods. Y/n looks at the time on the stove. 7:30. They've got time. "Ok come on." Y/n grabs her hand. The door swings open.
"Where do you think you're going?" Their dad yells. Y/n stands up and pushes Naomi behind her.
"School." She says making sure her voice comes out strong. It does.
"Her." He points at Naomi.
"No where." Y/n says glancing at her. She looks terrified. "She has a name." Y/n says.
"Really?" He says sarcastically then backhands y/n making her fall to the ground. She touches her burning face. His ring made her cheek bleed. Y/n looks at him through pieces of hair. Naomi hides behind the counter. Their dad chuckles then walks off.
"Come on." Y/n scrambles to her feet and hurriedly grabs Naomi's hand and drag her out of the house. Naomi is lightly crying. If you're wondering why she isn't going to school, she's three. Y/n picks her up.
"It's alright." Y/n tucks Naomi's hair behind her ear. Naomi touches the cheek he slapped. It was on fire. Y/n flinches slightly. Naomi then puts her face in y/n's hair.
"Y/n?" Peter sees her walking down his street. She smiles at him. "What's up? School's that way." He laughs. "And why do you have Naomi?" He asks.
Y/n has to think of a quick excuse."Oh, my parents have to go to work so they asked me to bring her to grandmas." Y/n says something off the top of her head.
"I'm sure my aunt could watch her for the day." He says. Her eyes slightly widen. Y/n wasn't planning on bringing Naomi back to the house today, She was just going to tell her mom where Naomi was.
"Oh that's fine." I shake my head and fakes a smile.
"Oh come on, then you'll have to walk home with me." He smirks. Y/n laughs and almost gets lost in his deep brown eyes. She snaps out of it. It's for Naomi's safety.
"I can't, I'm sorry." Y/n says then runs off.
"Y/n wait." Peter yells then sighs. He knew something was wrong. Y/n got to her grandmas house and quickly told her what happened.
