After letting Dove braid her hair Deainera went down stairs. Jonathan, also known as her father, gave her a hug and and handed her a plate. "I see your in a better mood." He said as he watched her pick out three pieces of sausage and two biscuits.
"I'm in a better mood yes, you can't expect me to be mad forever can you dad? Besides your right, the outer ring isn't safe. I don't know what I was thinking." She said hoping to quail her dads anxious spirit and upcoming questions. "So..." he began. And she knew her efforts were in vain. "Where are you headed to today?" He asked genuinely. "Alexander and I were going to hang out with Jason." She said and her green eyes and freckles seemed to dance with excitement.
"Alexander? Really?" Her mom said and walked into the room with a big smile. "You two have been spending quite a lot of time together, is there anything you'd like us to know? Are you two together?" She said with almost giddy words.
"No momma we are just good friends that's all. If anything comes of it I promise I'll let you know." Deainera smiled and wrapped her breakfast up in a cloth napkin and walked out the door to the end of the driveway where Alexander was waiting. "Hey," she said and grabbed his arm pulling him along, knowing her mom would be watching from the window. As soon as she was certain they couldn't be seen anymore she stopped and pulled Alexander close to her and gave him passionate kiss.
"What was that for love?" He laughed and kissed her back gently. " my mom and dad found out about us going to the outer ring, I was afraid they would make me stop seeing you." She said and put her head on his chest. "We have to go get Jason." She said grumpily.
"Why?" Alexander asked puzzled.
"Because I told my parents we were taking him along with us today."
"But he can't keep his big mouth shut, what if he tells the elders what we are doing and we get banned from seeing each other again?" He said grabbing her hands.
"That's a risk we will have to take. Andrea can't hang with us anymore after last night. I got the walls to call her. Her parents said if we even dare step foot on the lawn then we are screwed." She said and started walking towards Jason's house.
"You know he still likes you right?" Alexander said and smirked.
"Oh shut up! He does not, the last time I hung out with him, he hardly looked at me." Deainera said smacking him on the stomach. Alexander leaned forward just a bit. He inhaled deeply, his shaggy blonde hair and tall slender frame bent in shock at the blow. "Deainera! What was that for love!?" He said and straightened up in exhaling.
"Because I was punctuating my statement." She laughed and turned around to kiss him before he could comment.
He kissed her back and smiled. "I'm so lucky." He said and hugged her tightly before letting her go.
"Well hello there love birds, long time no see!" Said a deep bass voice. The two turned In slight shock as Jason walked up to meet them. "So what brings you two lowly Leo's to my neck of the woods?" He said almost haughtily.
"Well before we got distracted we were actually coming to see if you wanted to hang out today?" Deainera said and wrapped her pail arm around Jason's shoulders. Jason looked at the pair in a cautious manner. "The last time I hung out with you I was pushed in the lake and left there alone." He said and looked at Alexander glaringly.
"Please Jason, at least for me. I wasn't trying to leave you we just got carried away and we thought you were behind us." Deainera said and kissed him on the cheek."please!" She said and poked his side. Jason laughed gently and finally agreed to come. The fact was, Jason truly missed their little adventures.
"So where are we going today?" Jason asked and smiled. "Please tell me it's the boundary." He said and wrapped his arms around both of their shoulders and laughed.
"Actually," Alexander and deainera said in union, looking at Jason as his tan face went a shade lighter. "That's exactly were we are going." Said Alexander. The group set off toward the boundary and started talking about the two biscuits and three pieces of sausage , and the young boy from the cancer house waiting to play.
