In the early afternoon, under a grey sky, (Y/N) was headed to an art gallery. More specifically, Weiss Guertena's exhibition. The nearby art college they attend is going on a field trip of sorts, and what better place for a bunch of artsy college students to go than an art gallery? Well, most of them would rather not. Guertena's artwork was known for being a bit disturbing and borderline sinister, they have good reason for not wanting to go. But (Y/N), on the other hand, is ecstatic. They were always in favor of spooky things. They would always watch Tim Burton movies in awe while their friends always found it "peculiar." But they didn't care. Art was one of their passions, and incorporating slight horror into their work only made it more enjoyable for them.
Upon entering the gallery, they noticed that there weren't many people around. They gave the receptionist at the desk their ticket, and went off to explore. As they went down a small flight of stairs, they were greeted to a spacious room filled with paintings, the one on the floor with the most people around it catching their eye.
"Abyss of the Deep"
"A world where man will never stand...
To realize that world, I decided that I would engrave it within the canvas."
Arguably his most iconic piece. This piece was on the tickets, the pamphlets, even the website homepage. After looking around a bit more, they notice another sign by a piece called "A Well Meaning Hell"
"Welcome to the World of Guertena. We truly thank you for attending today. We are currently holding an exhibition for the great artist Weiss Guertena. We hope you enjoy the art of the late Guertena, whose creations carry such mystery and beauty to us both."
As (Y/N) backs away from the sign, ready to explore more, they bump into someone, and as this person falls to their knees, (Y/N) holds out their hand.
"Oh, I'm so sorry! Are you okay?"
