"Gus, we have some bad news" the doctor spoke. I gulped. "Because of Hazels death drop she has lost 60% of her memory." I sat. Still. Not able to move. It's almost like them saying "the love of your life is okay. Not so fast. She has barely any remembrance of anything"
"And because of that, she might not remember you. Or the times she had with you." How do doctors do this. Give out heart retching news. Then act like it's okay. And pretend it's all fine. Then they walk out and give someone else their heart retching news. One after the next. One by one they say they did everything they can. And all the possibilities of it being okay. And it's never is. It never will be. Will it?
