A Summer to Remember

Chapter 5: Seven O'clock

That night I slept the most peaceful ive ever slept since the accident with James. I woke up holding my phone clutched to me tight. I turned my head to see Ages feet on my bed getting a little scared for a second. After calming down I noticed the strong light from my window. I got out of bed and stepped on someone.

“ Owwww” It was Rosaline. I stepped off from her and she got up scolding me.

“ Sorry” I said awkwardly. She went to the bathroom. I went to get my phone and saw I had another message. I read it outloud.

“ Hey its Alex, me and the boys were just wondering if you guys wanted to go to the carnival with us tonight”. I checked the clock and saw it was 2:24. I told Rosaline and asked Alex what time. I put his name in my phone as Him♥. He answered 7.Then we tried waking up Age but she wouldn’t budge.

“Come on Agee”I said

“Nooooo”she said childly.

“But Austin wants to see you” putting emphasis on his name. She quickly got up. After having breakfast, me and the girls were wondering what to wear on the phone. I had dropped them both off to their houses so they can get ready. Rosaline decided on wearing a flowerey pattern buttoned down crop-top with black shorts from Forever21. As for Age she decided on wearing a strapless frilly-like shirt with red shorts. I really don’t know what to wear. I was checking in my closet for an hour now. I checked my clock near my bed. 6:08. Crap. I need more time. I decided on picking out my Minnetonka boots with my brown High-rise shorts tucking in a yellow Hi/Lo tank top. I put on mascara and some gold eye shadow. Someone was knocking on my door.

“Yeah?” I said putting on my Justin Bieber perfume.

“Adriana and Rosaline are here” It was my mom.

“Let them in” Once I said that Age came busting through my door.

“Can I use your straightener?!?!”Her hair was looking so ratchet. I got a little startled when I saw her.

“Umm, Yeah sure” I said. Rosaline just sat on my bed using my phone playing Temple Run. I could tell by the sound effects. It was now 6:27. I was starring at the clock daydreaming when Rosaline interrupted me.

“ When did Alex start calling you beautiful”. My stomach did a flip. Then I noticed the only way she would know that was looking at my messages.

“ When did you become so nosey?” I shot at her. She became silent and put my phone back on the charger. We both said ‘awkward’ at the same time and started laughing. Age had finished straightening her hair. The door bell ringed and I looked outside. It was them. My heart skipped a beat.

“ Who is it?” Age asked nervous already knowing the answer.

“ Its them!!” I squeeled. We all got our stuff and went downstairs saying goodbye to my mom who was on the couch watching the news.

“ Hey” I said grabbing Alex’s hand.He smiled brightly at me.

“ Hey beautiful” This boy.. he just always says the right things. I stopped walking on the pathway to Austins car making him stop aswell. I kissed him feeling like all the butterflys turned into dragons fluttering around in my stomach. He smiled with sparkling eyes.

“What was that for?” I laughed.

“ I don’t know…but thanks for that text last night”. I smiled.

“ No problem gorgeous” Omg this boy I-  someone interrupted my thoughts by coughing. We both turned to the car and saw all of them looking at us.

“So are u guys coming or…” Age said. My face got hot again. I could feel Alex’s stare burning on me smiling. He grabbed my hand again.

“Yeah, hold on” He grabbed me holding me tight a little above my waist and kissed me passionately I closed my eyes hoping that he wouldn’t pull away. I heard Rosaline giggling in the backround before Alex pulled away with his face flushed. We quickly got into the Black RangeRover. I layed on Alexs shoulder playing Angry Birds on my phone until we got there. We arrived to the sound of carnival games and the smell of cotton candy mixed with popcorn. I smiled excited for what is going to happen next.
