Normal Routines

Dear Kurt,

Cooper made me sit with him in the living room today to watch television.

"The sooner you get back to your normal routine, the better, Blainers."

And he doesn't know that there isn't a normal routine, not anymore. Not when I can't do anything without thinking of you.

Not when your jacket is hanging on the hook on my bedroom door because you forgot it when you came over to study.

Not when the kitchen fridge has a Hummel Tires and Lube magnet on it, with the word 'Hummel' in a red Sharpie heart.

Why does everything I do remind me of you, Kurt?

I'm realizing what a huge part of my life you are... you were.

This isn't going to get any easier.

I miss you a lot.
