In a kingdom known for its undisturbed tranquility and harmonic serenity, all was well. No criminal acts occurred, no hunger was extreme, no civilians were abandoned under the usually lively sky. No rebels provoked fiascoes, no threats were registered, and all had a purpose. Whether their purpose was something physical or spiritual, everyone had the main objective, of worshipping their king; the very one who'd brought the same restfulness and solitude that revolved around them now, from the beginnings of absolutely nothing.
"Praise thee!"
"All hail thy saviour!"
"Grammarcy, Your Majesty!"
Before this so-called "king" came along, the currently composed and calm area was- not so calm. The ruler before this man called Jordan had been brutal and did not know how to properly rule his people. He'd forcefully taken the throne, and no civilian had liked him at the start, but every one hated him with a burning passion during his rule. He'd ordered little kids into classes for fighting for the kingdom, he'd taken food from people who didn't have enough fortune to keep a task-filled life, he'd have people hung and beheaded for trying to suggest a new ruler...!
But then, out of nowhere, came Jordan Matthewson, the same one who'd helped them out of that hell that once was.
Yet at the time being discussed, this name meant nothing.
The life-label only identified a boy grown to the age of six, and most were not aware of this kid simply because, well- he didn't really matter. He was just a kid bred between two poor civilians, and was a more stable kid than most; even during the dark time he was raised in, other kids were rebellious and just a usual ecstatic. He just didn't harbor that attribute of being forever excited, and this actually aided him during the time when the disastrous ruler was controlling the throne.
Actually, because of his timid and leveled nature, the six-year old Jordan was on his king's good side, if he even had one, and wasn't pushed around as much as he should have been. Because he was poor, he was supposed to be punished for it, though the king didn't feel the need to scold him for it since Jordan seemed tolerable, unlike his friends. But just because he was let off, didn't mean his parents and friends were.
His parents didn't have jobs so they were automatically targeted by the king at the time, even though the ruler knew that the ones he would have beheaded next, were Jordan's parents.
One day, around the beginning of the afternoon with the sun high in the sky, Jordan's house was visited by a few intimidating knights in shining silver armor that gleamed in the sunlight and scary helmets, and they didn't ask to come inside when he'd answered the door. They'd instead pushed their way inside and instantly went to his parents' room. Two knights came into view again after a few moments of confused waiting, and they were actually forcefully pulling his mother and father out of their room; distant whimpers from his mother and snarls from his dad now hitting Jordan's ears. Upon the sight of the situation registering in his mind, it took a delayed moment to realize that something was occurring.
He watched as his mother was pulled out of the house by her hair and as his dad was dragged reluctantly passed him and pulled through the front door roughly, and being six, he went to follow after them with curiosity, but was instead shouted at by his mother, which frightened him dearly. His mom had never yelled at him.
"Jordan! Nay, I don't think so!" His beautiful mother had pleaded, tears staining her cheeks as she and her partner were continuously dragged down the dirt path outside their house leading to the marketplace; the knights doing the tugging seeming to be ruthless. "You are to remain there!" She added with a break of her voice during her words.
