"Put your leg up a bit higher, Jimin."
The young girl obeyed.
"Now curve your hand more outwards and hold your head up higher. That's it!"
Jimin couldn't help but preen at the praise given to her by her dance teacher. She had been learning the art of ballet and contemporary dance for a few years now and fell in love with the amount of emotions one could portray with their body movements. What first started as a request towards her father so she could do something more than just stay locked in her room turned into a hobby and one that she loved with a burning passion.
As she continued to perform her routine under the watchful eyes of her instructor, the young girl let all thoughts and worries leave her mind as she focused on the music. Making sure to keep her head held high and a smile on her face, Jimin did a double pirouette and ending her dance with an ending pose.
The music came to an end and she relaxed her muscles, looking up at her instructor, eyes hopeful for any improvement in her routine.
"You've gotten better at keeping your head up, but you made a few mistakes in the routine. They can be fixed with practice, which I expect you to do by the time we have our next lesson," her teacher commented, her usual tight lipped appearance softening at the doe eyed girl in front of her.
"Yes miss, I'll perfect the routine, I promise," Jimin replied, bowing her head slightly; cheeks still flushed after her performance.
"I'm sure you will, you haven't disappointed me yet."
