"Percy... wake up honey we are here."
I opened my eyes to find that my dream had become reality. I really did have to move half away around the world because my mother decided to marry a guy without even asking her beloved daughter. But I looked up to see the smile on her face, she was smiling, this was worth her smile.
I sat up and realised that I had been sleeping in the most awkward position you possibly could on a plane. 12 hours of sleep and I am still tried, why am I not surprised? The plane had already stopped and people were getting off and there's me just waking up.
I knew I had to get up and got head first into my new life otherwise I would never do it. I unbuckled my seatbelt that I didn't even realise was still on and stood up. I felt a sharp pain in my foot and looked down, only to suddenly realise I had pins and needles in my foot.
Just great.
I grabbed my hand luggage and wobbled to the stairs of the plane with my mum following behind.
"Why are you walking like a penguin?" She chuckled thinking I couldn't hear her.
"Haven't you got pins and needles in your feet?" I said hoping she did so I wouldn't be the only one walking like a penguin.
"Nope." She chuckled again but this time more obvious than last time.
"Lucky." I mumbled under my breath.
"I heard that." She said in one of them motherly voices.
Once we had got though all the airport security, we were in the area where you meet people that you haven't seen in ages and they all ways do the cool run up thing when they see each other and where they hold up signs with people's names on. I saw my mum looking around and then smiled, I looked around confused on what she was smiling about. I turned my head in the direction she was looking at to find a man. I, assuming that was my ride, followed my mum over to him.
As I got closer I saw he was holding a sign saying ' Mary and Percy'. My mum ran over to him. My mum never runs, like ever. What was she trying to do? Move to another country and win the Olympics. I casually walked over to the man.
His hair was a dirty blonde. He looked around 45, the same age as mum. He was wearing a Ralph Lorien shirt with an expensive looking pair of shoes and trousers.
She kissed him.
I stood there just waiting for it to stop. I coughed hoping they would stop and see me.
It surprisingly worked. My mum and the man looked at me.
The man lent out his hand, guessing for me to shake it, and let out a breath before saying
"Hello, you must be Percy. I am Jack. " he smiled as he said this.
I lent out my hand to shake his.
"Hi and yes I am, nice to meet you Jack."
He seemed nice. I was just hoping that his kids would be to.
Jack and my mum were walking out of the airport with me following behind. We came across a black limo. I stood in shock as my mum helped Jack put our things in the back.
