Rose had woken up early today but she didn't feel like getting out of bed. She had been staring at her roof for the last two hours wrapping her mind around the past few days. She couldn't believe she actually managed to turn the tables around on her mental state. Yet there was something missing still. Something she couldn't yet understand. She attempted to think of her past. Last year. Two years ago. Three years ago. Why? Why did she end up crashing so randomly. Everything was always seemingly picture perfect so why did it all crash and fall? "Rose!" Mrs Calisse called out from the kitchen. She went down to see her mom at the dining table waiting for her.

Mrs. Calisse: Breakfast is ready dear.

Rose: Where's dad?

Mrs. Calisse: Oh he left for work early today. Busy day I guess.

Rose: Mom, do you mind if go out later today? There's a couple places I've been meaning to check out.

Mrs. Calisse: You know I'd usually agree and all but I thought we could have a little mother-daughter night together.

Rose: This is important mom, I promise I wouldn't insist if it wasn't.

Mrs. Calisse: This is also important Rose. Go tomorrow, you're staying in today.

Rose wasn't happy with that decision but she couldn't say anything. She just ate her breakfast and went back up to her room. She spent the day listening to music, tidying up her room and stuck up some old polaroid pictures of herself on her mirror edges. Near midnight, she heard her mom heading towards her room so she quickly slid under her blanket and pretended to be asleep. Mrs. Calisse opened the door hoping to see Rose ready for their special night but she was disappointed to find her asleep instead. She let out a long sigh and closed the door. Rose jumped out of bed and opened her door slightly to check whether her mom was going to bed. Sure enough, she was. Rose quickly got ready in the most comfortable clothing she could get and sneaked out of her room, heading down to the main door. She wore her shoes, grabbed the keys and went out. There was two places she needed to go too and no one was stopping her.

Her first destination was her childhood park. She used to spend nearly every day there and whenever she was going to leave, she would throw a tantrum. When Rose got to the park, it was closed as expected. Plan B was to climb up the gates and that's exactly what she did. When she got to the other side, she felt her soul twitch, her heart get warm and her head flow. She walked around trying to find the spot she used to go to a lot because that was essential. She didn't know why it was essential but something told her that it was exactly where she needed to be at. After wondering around for a bit, she finally found the sandy part of the park with the slides and seesaw's. As soon as her feet touched the sand, she felt like she was transported back in time.

2009, Rose's parents were sat on a park bench while Rose was running towards the sand. She had made a couple friends there so she wasn't alone. Her small, 10 year old, hype active body ran to the slides and she would laugh so hard coming down. She would trip sometimes and fall but it didn't matter because she was having fun at the moment. When it was time to go home, she would whine and scream but would eventually agree to go.

Present Rose smiled at the thought of those days. She hadn't been to the park in so long, even for a short walk. She teared up a bit but had to make her leave to the next destination. She climbed back up the gate and left the park. She was going back to the diner now, the place she couldn't even sit in last time. Luckily the diner was open 24 hours so she walked in and sat in the same place as last time. The waitress came to take her order and Rose went with her usual pancakes. As she sat and waited for the pancakes, she saw a little girl walk into the diner. The girl looked very familiar but at first she couldn't recognize her. The little girl walked over to Rose's seat and sat next to her. It was now that Rose realized this little girl was herself at the age of 12. She just kept staring at the little girl not knowing how to react when she saw her parents, looking younger than today, walk into the diner and join her young self. The waitress brought Rose's pancakes and placed them in front of her. As she went in to take a bite, she heard her parents arguing in a low voice which gradually grew bigger and young Rose was not happy, it seemed as if there were tears in her eyes.

When Rose finished eating, she put some money on the table and left the diner but saw the little girl and her parents follow her all the way to home. When she walked in, the little Rose ran up to her room while her parents started fighting over stupid little things. Rose couldn't understand why she was seeing all this but she didn't like it. She ran up to her room and saw little Rose lying down on her bed crying.

Little Rose: Their always fighting

Rose: It's okay sweetie, it's fine it will pass.

Little Rose hugged present Rose. It was now that Rose realized how the fights between her parents didn't stop and just grew worse over the years and had just calmed out. Her parents had grew a bit distant from each other and it had ruined Rose's growing process. It always traumatized her and haunted her, even today. Suddenly little Rose was gone and all that was in the room was Rose and her thoughts spiraling. She went to bed and realized how her mind had weakened over the years because of the households state but she knew now that she had grown up, issues are issues and she shouldn't let them get to her. Rose closed her eyes and slept in peace.
