On the outside of Malfoy Manor, darkness loomed and the manor itself seemed desolate and empty. But yet on the inside, the Malfoy's awaited silently for news from Voldemort. The only noise was the wind howling, flames crackling in the fireplace and the occasionally the coo of their baby, Draco.
Narcissa Malfoy was growing impatient with worry. Now, the sounds of her heels clicked back and forth as she paced back and forth in front of their fireplace.
"Stop it dear." Lucius's eyes flicked up to his wife who only gave him a glare in response. Continuing the clicking. He was growing irritable as well, and noticed his finger tapping at the hardwood on his right arm chair. Though, the couple were not stressed about the same thing. Lucius was almost certain that Voldemort had killed the baby boy, Harry Potter, but found it odd no news of it yet came. Narcissa had hardly wanted the child to die but she was more concerned about her sister who had set out to complete the foul task with him.
After a long while of waiting, a gust of wind pushed down the hall, burning the candles scattered around the room, out. "Well?" Lucius rose to standing, surprised to see that Bellatrix returned alone. Her eyes were filled with a cold furry and almost twitched in anger, he had never seen her this upset. She didn't answer and walked to the shelf next to the fire place. Bellatrix grabbed a large bottle of fire whiskey and began drinking quickly. The pair stared at her while she wiped her mouth with her sleeve, setting the bottle back down.
"Bella. .?" Narcissa approached her sister and placed an arm on her shoulder, trying to turn her around.
"The baby–The Potter child. .It killed him." Silence struck the room again. Lucius frowned and thought she had finally lost her mind, that it couldn't possibly be true. How was a baby to kill the most powerful wizard alive?
"What are you talking about Bella?" Narcissa tried to move some of Bellatrix's tangled hair from the front to her back but she slapped her hand away aggressively and turned to face them both fully.
"The child! The god forsaken half-blood Potter baby! It's killed our master. It's killed him!" She shrieked walking steps closer to her sister who backed up in fear from her outburst.
"No. You must be wrong." Lucius finally spoke up, his brow furrowed trying to come up with any possible explanation.
"I'm wrong? I was there you idiot!" Bellatrix practically seethed at this point but soon backed up from them, spinning and collapsing into a chair. Now she looked as if she could cry. "A flash of green light. I thought the boy was dead. .I thought Cissy! I swore it was over–I–I–"
