Surprise!

I was woken up by my mom. "Mom, I wanna go back to bed" I groaned. "No" she said. I sat up. "I have news!" She said. "Huh?" I asked. "Were adopting Hunter Foss and Haylee Foss!" She said.

I jumped up. "Omg!!" I squealed. We giggled. "So you need to find out what his and her favorite color combinations are so we can paint their rooms" she said. "But I have school..." I said.

"Nope, I excused you for today. They come tonight, so we need to get their rooms ready" she said. I nodded.

"Okay, get dressed now" she said before leaving. I got up to get dressed when she came back in. "Find out what their favorite dinner is and what size clothes and shoes they wear" she said then left again. I got dressed and pulled out my phone. I texted him.

Me- Hey.

Him- Hey.

Me- I have two questions...

Him- Okay.

Me- What is your favorite color combination and what is your little sisters favorite color combination? Then what is your favorite food?

Him- Mine is green and grey, and Haylee's is pink and gray. Our favorite food is fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and corn

Me- Perfect, thanks!

Him- Anytime.

I also asked what size clothes and shoes they were. When I finished I went downstairs and told my mom. "How old are they?" I asked. "Well Hunter is 15 and Haylee is 13" she said. I nodded.

We went to the store and got them dressers, beds, bedding, memory foam mattresses, nightstands and lamps, we got Hunter a desk and a office chair, we got Haylee a vanity.

We got them a whole shopping cart of clothes and shoes, we got them laptops, t.v's and new phones, we got Haylee makeup and hair stuff, and any thing else they would need.

We went home and painted the walls. Hunter had darker grey walls and Haylee had lighter. Mom did Haylee's room while I did Hunter's. I set up his bed, then put the foam bed on the bed boards. Memory foam comes rolled up, so you have to wait for it to pop up.

It was about lunch time now. I made myself a turkey and cheese sandwich. While I was eating I watched t.v. When u finished I went up and his bed was up. I hung the shelves above his bed and put everything on them.

I made his bed nicely, and pushed both nightstands on both sides of his bed. I pushed his dresser on the other side of the room and against the wall. I hung the t.v above his dresser.

I hooked it up as well. I folded all his clothes and put them in his drawers. I put all his new shoes in the closet. I scrubbed down the bathroom that was connected to his room.

When I was dine my mom walked in. "Wow!" She said. I nodded. "Come see Haylee's room" she said. I walked into Haylee's room and it looked great.

We high-fived started to cook their favorite meal. "Oh, today is Hunter's 16th birthday" mom said. "Yay!" I said. I showered and got dressed in some nice clothes. "Mom, school is going to let out soon. I am going to go get them" I yelled through the house. "Okay!" She called back. I grabbed two bandanas.

I walked out and raced to the store. I got Hunter and I matching charm bracelets. I paid then raced to the highschool. We get out first, and I have no clue what Haylee looks like. I spotted Hunter. He was with his friends. Everyone was staring at me oddly.

"Oh hey Sam!" He said. "Hey" I said. We hugged. Everyone oooed. Not that I care, but that is still weird. "Come on, come on, come on" I said. "Where?" He asked.

"A surprise!" I said. I heard whispers. "Someone is inpatient to get in bed" , "wow, her and Hunter equals Eww" I just rolled my eyes. He wasn't moving so I went behind him and pushed him out of the school yard.

"Come on!" I said. "Where are we going?" He asked. "To get your sister" I said. "Here, jump on and I'll give you a ride" he said. I nodded and jumped on his back. He said I was light then started to run. Soon enough we made it to the middle school.

A girl ran to us. "Hunter, I got another perfect A!" She said. "Great job!" Hunter said. "Is this your girlfriend?" She asked. "No, just a friend" he said.

Is it weird that I wanted him to say girlfriend? I better not be developing feelings, because I like Marcus right? I'm not sure anymore. "Well, Sam this is my sister Haylee, and Haylee meet my friend Sam" Hunter said.

I jumped off his back. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Jump in his back" I told Haylee. She nodded and did so. I tied my bandana around Hunter's eyes and Haylee's. "I got you" I said. They nodded and I led them home.

We got to my door step and I told Haylee to jump down. She did and I untied the blind folds. "Where are we?" They asked in sync. "You will see" I said.

I opened the door and we walked in. The smell of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn filled the house. Their eyes lit up. I grabbed their backpacks and set them by the door. I grabbed their hands and led them into the kitchen.

"Welcome to your new house..." I said. They were confused. "My mom adopted you!" I said. Their eyes widened and filled with tears as they hugged me.

I hugged them back. My mom walked in and they hugged her too. No words were needed for the beautiful moment.

We all sat down and ate dinner. When dinner finished we all washed our plates and they thanked us.

My mom and Haylee went into Haylee's room. I grabbed Hunter's hand and took him upstairs and to his room. He was so happy that he picked me up and spun me around.

"That is not it" I said. "I can't except anymore" he said. "You have no choice" I said. I pulled out the box with our charm bracelets. I pulled them out and handed him one. "Happy birthday" I said.

He pulled my face closer and our lips met. We pulled away. "Thank you so much!" He said. I nodded and we put them on. I gave him a house tour then we said our good nights and off to bed we all went.
