Cat's Pov

I miss him.

I'm really starting to think that Joey is pissed at me for overreacting the way that I did.

I mean he hasn't even called or texted to say that he got my gift. To be honest, I never actually got over Joey after that. I had hooked up with a few guys but it was just casual sex.

Does that make me a slut? I think it does.

Joey probably still has feelings for Dani despite the fact that they broke up. It's obvious she still loves him.

I need to just face the fact that they were made for each other.

And after all this time it still breaks my heart.

I'm kind of a bitch for just ditching both of them and then just swooping back into their lives because I love Joey.

Dani's Pov

"Don't forget her favorite pair of shoes." Joey says leaning against the counter,as I help get Stella ready to go.

"Never. If I did she'd probably start crying until we came back to get them." I reply, laughing softly.

"You ready, Stel? Mommy's gonna take you to get some candy!" I say, tickling Stella's sides as she giggles.

"I need to talk to your daddy for a second. Can you do me a huge favor and make sure you didn't forget anything in your room?"

"Sure, mommy." Stella says, skipping down the hallway and into her room.

"Everything okay?"

"Not really. Look, I've been really stress out lately because of my dad."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that he re -married. I thought you got along fine with her."

"I DID, before she started doing drugs."

"Drugs? What kind?"

"Marijuana."

"She smokes pot?!"

I nod.

"And I need to ask you a favor. I just hope you won't mind."

"Just ask, Dani. You know I'd do anything for you."

I blush slightly at his comment, pretending to ignore it.

"My dad asked me to go see him in Vermont. So, um. I'm gonna go."

"Okay?" he asks me, obviously confused.

"For six months. And I wanna take Stella with me."

Joey's face instantlly fell.

"You wanna take my daughter away from me? For six months?"

"I knew you wouldn't be okay with it. Don't worry I'll jus--"

"Fine." Joey interrupted me.

"Really? Your okay with me taking her?"

"I mean, not really but it's best for her. She loves her mommy." he continues, smirking at me.

"Thank you so much for being so understanding, Joey. And P.S., she loves her dad just as much.":

His smirk turns into a grin as Stella runs back into the living room.

"Mommy, there's nothing in the woom. Can we go now?"

"Absolutely, baby. Come on." I say, picking her up.

"Say bye bye Daddy." I urge Stella to say.

"Bye bye. i love you daddy."

"I love you too, sweetie." Joey says as I walk out the door, taking Stella with me.

Joey's Pov

I plop down on the couch feeling a lot of different things.

I'm relieved that I get a break from parenting for a while but at the same time, I'll miss Stella.

I also don't know how I feel about Dani right now.

We broke up for the better, but sometimes I wish we were back together.

But that's only sometimes.

I think about Cat a lot too.

I know, roll your eyes and then say,

"Really Joey? This shit again?"

But honestly, I can help it.

I hear my phone buzz on the counter as I get up to check it.

Cat: Hey, call me? Please?
