Chapter Four - Gay AF

"Alright boy, tomorrow is our game against the Bears. Don't be nervous. It's ok. Now normally I would say that it's not about winning but those dam-...Bears need to go down. I have faith in all of you. Good luck to all of you." Coach starts to walk away but pauses. "Oh, and if you lose, there will be a practice that you'll swear the devil himself is holding. Good luck, don't worry, get rest and don't lose. Oh and we have a dinner with them. So be nice."

We all walk to our lockers. I grab my bag from my locker and walk out of the locker room without talking to anyone. Outside the door I see my best friend, Raven Blue. And like his name he has raven black hair and green eyes. He's hot, I mean I'm dating Justice and all but damn, I would totally tap his ass.

"Yo, Rave!" I call out and he looks up. "What up bro? What are you still doing here?"

"Waiting for your fat ass, of course." Jeez, rude. My ass is not fat...right? "I'm coming over."

"Your dad?" He nods and follows me to my car. "Are you staying the night?"

"Maybe, if its ok with your parents." He shrugs. "And whether I have to sleep on the floor."

I laugh and clap him on the back. "Nah, we can share."

"Hell no. I'd rather sleep on the floor." He scrunches up his nose.

"Ok, if you insist." I laugh as we get in the car. He glares at me when he realized what I did.

"You tricked me." He pouts while I just laugh at him.

"Yep, but you fell for it. Like always." His pout turns into a scowl.

"Shut up." He grumbles. "Now, are you going to unlock the door or are we just going to stand out here all night?"

"Fine, fine. I guess I'll unlock the door." I sigh dramatically.

"Ugh." He groans. I get in, buckle and start the car. "Hey, um, Reed, who's shoes are these? I know for a fact that your feet are not this big, nor have you ever owned a shoe made by Puma. Only ever Nike or Adidas."

"Damn, he must've left those in here. Stupid boy." I mumble to myself.

"Reed, who?" Raven snaps me out of my thoughts.

"Um, no one. Just my cousin." I lie quickly. "They were here yesterday and we didn't want to hang with the fam so we snuck out and he must've left them in here."

"Oh, ok." I don't think he fully believes me but he accepts it.

I feel my phone buzz in my back pocket so I fish it out. 'Just Homer' Flashes on the screen.

"Hello?" I answer. Raven gives me incredulous look.

"Hang up the damn phone Archer." Raven growls. I glare at him.

"Hey, do you want to call me back later?" I hear Justice say softly.

"No, it's ok, Ravens just being a little bitch." I glace over at him out of the corner of my eye and see him glare at me.

"Oh, who's Raven?"

"My best friend." I replied.

"Oh, ok. Well I just called to tell you, you left your sweatshirt at my house." Justice says.

"Well, I guess we're in the same boat. You left your shoes in my car." I chuckle. "Wait, I didn't wear a sweatshirt yesterday." I raise a brow, before realizing that he can't see me.

"I know, I just wanted an excuse to see you." I can feel Justice's blush.

I laugh. "You could have just told me. And a sweatshirt really?"

"Well I figured you really wouldn't believe me if I said you left your shirt or your pants or your socks or shoes at my house cause you had to leave with them." I blush when I remember something.

"Well, actually I think I did forget something." I glance at Raven but he's not really paying attention but I didn't want to chance it. "But I'll tell you later when I'm alone."

"Ok. I should probably let you get back to whatever you were doing in the first place. Bye, I'll see you late?" He asks.

"Oh, yeah. I'm assuming you need your shoes."

"Is that like a – no thanks Ry, I'm good. – sorry. Anyways, is that like code that you also want to see me?"

"No," I start but Justice cuts me off.

"Oh," He says sadly.

"Hey, I didn't say I didn't want to. But you did leave your shoes in my car. Your red pumas."

"How do you know that they aren't yours?" Justice asks.

"Because I only wear Nike and Adidas." I replied.

"Ok, what about tomorrow before the game?"

"Ok, yeah that'll work." I didn't realize that Justice and I had talked so long but we already reached home.

"Ok, see you then. Bye, Reed."

"Bye," I say, almost slipping up and saying Justice but Raven walked into my line of vision.

I hang up and unlock my front door. Raven leads the way to my bedroom, already being here enough times. He walks into my bedroom and plops down on my bed, throwing his bag on the couch in my room. I toss mine next to his.

"I'm going to go shower." He nods and closes his eyes.

I roll my eyes and head to my ensuite. It just had a walk-in shower, a sink and a toilet. I take off my clothes and turn on the shower. Waiting until its hot, I get in and start my showery business. Once I finish I step out and a cuss passes my lips. I forgot my clothes. I grab a towel and wrap it around my waist before walking out of the bathroom. I walk into my room to see that Raven is sitting on my couch and playing one of my video games on my ps4.

"I started a new game so we have to – dude what the hell! Put some damn clothes on!" Raven yells and throws a thrown pillow at me.

"I'm going, don't worry. Hey that rhymed." I smile goofily.

"You're such a fucking weirdo." He chuckles. I walk over to my closet and grab clothes before walking over to my dresser and grabbing random boxers. Putting on the clothes I join Raven on the couch and grabbing another control.

"Dude, since when do you a blue wife beater? You always buy black ones cause you think they make you look tanner." Raven asks and points to the shirt I picked out.

Looking down I realize that it is, indeed, not mine but rather Justices. I honestly don't know how that got there. Wait, unless it was in my bag from camp, god knows for the last part of the trip I didn't wear any of my clothes.

"Um, its new. A...friend bought it for me." I chuckle nervously.

"You look gay as fuck right now dude. Don't let the team see you like that, they'll pummel your ass." Raven chuckles.

"There's nothing wrong with being gay." I say quietly.

"It doesn't matter. It's not like you're gay." He says and waves it off.

I stay silent which makes him look over at me. A look of realization crosses his features.

"You're not gay, right?" He asks. I look down. "What the hell man!"

"You're not homophobic, right?" I ask him.

"No, I'm just pissed you didn't tell me sooner." He grumbles and runs his hand through his hair.

"I didn't know how you'd react. And I knew you'd try to set me up with someone."

"Well yeah. Like half my family is gay, you know that. Hell, I have two dads!" He exclaims.

"I kinda forgot about that." I laugh.

"So, do you like anyone?" He asks.
