Chapter Four- Neverland

Emmas POV

We landed on a beach with crystal white sand that seemed to glow. The moon shone brightly up above and seemed to cast a magical-yet eerie-glow over everything around.

"I never thought I'd step foot on these beaches again," Hook sighed. I studied him out of the corner of my eye. He intrigued me even though I wasn't sure if I could trust him completely. I knew he had feelings for me, but I didn't return them......did I?

"It feels so good to be back," a smooth voice sighed happily. I looked at Callie and gasped. She had these huge cat ears sticking out from her head as if she had a headband on but I knew that it wasn't some cheap costume. They were pink and furry and flowed into her colored hair perfectly. She was examining her nails which were sharpened into claws now. But what shocked me most was the long, bushy furry pink and purple striped tail that rose up behind her.

"Whoah," Regina said upon looking at her. Callie smiled mischievously.

"Wasn't expecting me to look like this now were you love?" She smirked. Regina didn't say anything. I noticed she really hadn't said a whole lot about Callie. She seemed tense around her. Id have to figure that one out.

"Now how do we get Henry back?" Mary Margret asked. Callie smiled.

"Well first dear old Rumple here is gonna leave us," she said. We looked at her confused. Rumple was in is enchanted forest getup and looked shocked.

"How did you know I was planning to leave?" He asked. She smirked.

"Have you really forgotten what I can do Rumple?" She laughed.

"Why are you leaving?" I demanded.

"Because unlike you who will fail if you take help from the cat," he sneered. "I'm going to actually rescue Henry. No matter the price,"

"You know I can't hide you from him if you're not around," Callie warned. Hide from him?

"I know," he said and with that he turned and walked away.

"Okay then...." I said warily. "Now....what..?"

"The most important thing in rescuing Henry is making sure that he knows that you're coming. Then we figure out why Pan needs him. Then we rescue him," Callie shrugged as if it was something she did everyday.

"And how do we do all of that exactly?" Mary Margret asked.

"YOU," Callie said. "Are gonna stay here while I go take a look around,"

"What? No!" Regina protested. "I'm not gonna sit around her while some teenage love sick Cheshire Cat takes a stroll down memory lane!"

Callie hissed. "Listen here you're majesty," she said mockingly getting scarily close to Regina. "If you want any hope at all of rescuing your son then you better do what I say, when I tell you to do it and how I tell you to do it. Otherwise we might as well abandon him!" She yelled. Regina stammered for a moment before regaining composure.

"Alright fine," she said cautiously. "I'll do what you need me to do,"

I was suprised that she didn't just slap Callie or something. Clearly there was a hidden past between the two of them and Callie was the one who scared Regina not the other way around for once.

"Put defense spells around this area, while I'm gone Pan will be able to sense you so it is vital you stay put. If you seem boring he won't investigate yet, so please just listen to orders and stay put," Callie said almost pleadingly. We all nodded in agreement and sat down. She seemed satisfied and walked away into the trees her long tail swishing behind her.

Callies POV

I slinked through the trees with the grace that I had missed so much. I reached up to touch my cat ears to reassure myself that they were there. I had missed having my full magic back. In Wonderland I was a full cat. Everywhere else I was a human with pink hair. Here I was both. Here I was me.

"Alright Peter Pan where are you hiding now?" I said to myself as I tried to get my bearings. I hadn't been here in a long time. I heard some movement to my left and quickly scrambled up a tree. Two boys walked out onto the path jabbering away. I smiled. Lost boys. I hadn't seem them since....she couldn't even remember. She jumped silently from tree to tree following the boys until she came across a camp. There were a little over a dozen boys. I didn't see Pan at first. But then I saw him on a long with a little kid with dark hair and a plaid shirt. He couldn't have been more of a fish out of water if he tried. I drowned out the dancing and yelling boys below me-some sort of celebration was going on- and listened to what Pan was saying.

"-you're the truest believer Henry. Whether you believe it or not," was all I could hear him say before he got up to play his pipes for the boys. I could hear them of course but I resisted their pull. I skirted around the boundaries of the camp around to the sure Henry was on.

"Pssst Henry," I whispered. He looked around.

"Whose there?" He asked.

"Act normal!" I hissed, he stopped looking around and stared at the fire as if he were bored. He was good. "Listen, I'm a friend. My name is Callie. Don't react to what I'm about to say. You're family is here. They are coming for you. I'm helping them. Do not let Pan convince you otherwise. No matter what. I'll be back to check on you soon. Just act bored. And try to figure out why pan needs you!" I explained. "Scratch your ear if you understand,"

Henry slowly reached up an casually scratched his ear. "Good," I said. "I'll be back. Be safe Henry!"

He nodded slightly to acknowledge that he had heard me and I ran off back towards the beach, a plan forming in my mind already.
