The Party

(Ellie's P.O.V)

My older sister, Casey, has known Rat Boy for a while now and I guess you could call them rather close.

He always comes up to the house but I don't get to speak to him much as they just hang out in her bedroom most of the time as do all her friends. We do have some interesting conversations during dinner though.

She says he's a really funny and weird (but in a good way) person and I can't say that I don't agree.

It's my sisters birthday and she's throwing this mad party tonight - inviting all her mates.

Me and my sister are only a year or so apart and we are both of drinking age so of course she lets me attend. She loves it when I get drunk - says it's the most comical thing she's seen since mum fell down a hole in public that one time.

Casey and I are sitting in the kitchen boredly on our phones. I'm wearing some what casual clothing but she's dressed up to the 9's as if she's trying to impress someone.

I unconsciously stare at her outfit unbeknown that she is staring back. As if she knows exactly want i'm thinking she says,

"I'm only dressed up so much cuz someone I fancy is gonna be there."

"Mad, who do you like?!" I smile mischievously.

She doesn't care if I know who she fancies because she knows I keep all her secrets.

"Jordan." She blushed.

I wiggle my eyebrows jokingly.

"Shhhhh! He's just so cute though; I've liked him for ages now. I really like him.. I may even ask him out by the end of the night."

"Ooooh." I look slightly disheartened.

Then we heard someone rap the door.

Casey got up as did I following behind her to the door.

She opens up to see her two favourite  twins who she's been friends with since secondary school.

"Adam, Jack, come on in!" She greets them both with a hug.

"Hate to break it to you, but you are the first ones here." Casey laughed.

"You know us, early bird gets the worm." Adam said cheesily.

"You're so cheesy Adam. Just like dad." Jack retorted.

We all laughed.

More and more people started arriving, some on their own and some in big groups.

It's a couple of hours after everyone was meant to arrive and the house is pretty full. Everyone's got a few drinks in them already and everyone's having a good time.

I notice Casey keeps checking her phone for the time.

"Are you waiting for Jordan?"

"Yeah." she sighed.

"He'll be here, don't worry. He would never miss your birthday party, he's like your best mate.." I leaned in a bit more to her, "and I reckon he fancies you." I winked.
