Chapter 4 part 1

The Ball

Star dug through her closet, searching for a formal dress to attend the ball. She tossed dresses and accessories everywhere making her room a complete mess.

"Uh, Star?" Marco said as he approached her closet.

"Hmmm?" Star murmured as she kept digging through her clothes.

"Are you sure you don't need me to co-" Marco was cut of when a pink dress decorated with heart designs hit him.

"Oh, sorry Marco!" Star apologised as she pulled the dress off of him.

"It's ok but, are you sure that I shouldn't come with you?" Marco asked concerningly.

"Yes, Marco, you weren't invited. Besides, you need to trust me to do the right things for myself!" Star answered reassuringly as she went into a fitting room with several mirrors.

"Could I at least ride down with you?" Marco asked, starting to sound a little desperate.

"Marco, I already told you, n-" Star was cut of when a sudden idea burst into her head.

"I'll let you come to the ball on one condition!" Star said excitedly.

"Okay, what's the deal?" Marco asked curiously.

"You can come if you talk to Jackie Lynn Thomas!!!" Star exclaimed as she finished putting on her dress.

"WHAT?!" Marco yelled.

"B-but, I'm not even a prince! She'd never want to talk to me if I'm not a prince!" Marco argued as Star put her wand next to her cheek, thinking of a solution.

"You're not a prince, yet!" Star exclaimed as she shot a spell at the knight, causing his clothes to become a white, cream colored suit with golden colored shoulder tassels. The golden embroidery shone brightly on the front of his suit.

Marco was lost for words as he admired his suit.

"Not too bad, if I do say so myself!" Star said, causing a smirk to appear on her face.

"So deal? Or no deal?" Star asked playfully.

"Fine, deal." Marco said as a reassuring smile crept onto his face.

A carriage suddenly caught their attention as a vampire with dark brown hair and a black cape came into view. The two teens turned their heads to the vampire and Star excitedly jumped up and down running into the vampire and tackling him into a hug.

"Hey Oskar!!!" Star excitedly greeted as Marco just waved.

"Sup." Oscar said nonchalantly.

Oscar led the blonde princess and the knight/prince into the carriage. The black carriage was decorated with bat and blood designs that sent Marco chills down his spine. The carriage had an odor that smelled like human blood that made Marco feel even more uncomfortable.
When the carriage finally arrived, they stepped into the ball room, filled with dozens of creatures from many different dimensions. Star's stomach rumbled and caused her eyes to search for some refreshments.

"Hey, Oskar?" Star said, grabbing Oskar's attention quickly.

"Yeah?" Oskar asked nonchantly as he looked at the hungry princess.

"Where's the food table?" Star asked as Oskar led her to a table filled with treats of all kinds, some of which looked too bizarre to eat.
Star finally found something she recognised; chocolate.

"YUM!" Star excitedly said as she stuffed her mouth with them.

"Oh yeah, those chocolates have a filling of human blood." Oskar said nonchalantly.

"WAHT?!?!" Star yelled with a mouth full, in shock as she spit out all of them.
She spit out the blood that was left in her mouth and tried to get the taste of the blood to leave her taste buds.

"My best friend's a human!!!" Star exclaimed.

"Oh, sorry." Oskar said nonchantly.

"Uh, is there any drinks here?" Star asked.

"Well, there is fresh human blo-"Oskar was cut off when Star yelled,

"NO HUMAN BLOOD!"

"Oh, yeah" Oskar said remembering what happened earlier.

"There is sea-salt water, butterfly soup, Crystal slime, owl eyes biscuits," Oskar listed as Star found no solutions.

"I think I'll pass..." Star said as she spotted Marco hanging out near a wall near Jackie; the princess of merkind. (Idk if that's the correct term😅)
Her shimmering dress shone like a thousand scales and her hair was a beautiful clear pearl color. A bright light turquoise streak ran down the right side of her hair just before meeting an elaborate headpiece.
She smiled as she saw the two were getting along very well.

She suddenly saw a very familiar black haired girl, talking to a salmon haired demon.

"Janna?" Star thought as she went over to her leaving Oskar behind.
